He is one of those names thrown around, but I think ten Hag is the firm favorite now.

Talk of de Gea wanting to extend his contract and how his performance against Everton is a positive step in that direction.

I saw some other reports suggesting Pickford as a potential replacement. Vlachodimos is another name mentioned here and there. Being Greek, I'd love to see it happen, but I'm not sure if he can handle that responsibility, at least not yet.

 

Tomorrow David De Gea will make his 500th Manchester United appearance.

He's been under a lot of criticism, but I've seen the same mistakes this season out of Allison, Ederson and Emi. He may lack certain qualities, but what qualities he does possess remain exceptional. Could do very well for himself elsewhere and compete for major honors. IDK if ten Hag or the board will prioritize replacing him just yet.

 

Raya contract expiring 2024 maybe time to move on.

De Gea turned down an offer to extend. After the 7-0 humiliation to Liverpool and the aggregate 9-0 against them last season, he's lucky to even be offered one.

 

He's lucky????? You can argue it is time to get someone else but he deserves to be offered one

 

It’s official, he’s gone. Just posted a farewell to United supporters on Twitter.

Club legend as far as I’m concerned. Gave us his best years when we were in shambles and was the best goalkeeper in the world for some of that stretch. Shame the players in front of him weren’t at his level for much of his time here.
