BRING YOUR KIDS! Young fans wearing their youth soccer team jersey get to walk on the field after the match. I’m young-at-heart; does that make me a young fan? On the soccering front... we’re riding high. We’re at home. The juices are flowing. Vibes are immaculate. RSL is bad-bad-not good (and I’m not talking about the band from Toronto). They're dead last in the league in goals conceded per 90, and they sit 25th in goals scored per 90. It will also be April Fools’ Day. And this is MLS. What do wise men say? Lose by two or more. Discuss.
Oooooh, a few Capys and the MLS NEXT Pro trophy will be on the plaza for photo ops before the match. The absolute peaceful heaven that is 90s videos like this one. Digging your music selections so far. Perhaps an end of the year playlist compilation of all your selections is due?
I have over 100 CDs of glorious 90's music. Sometimes I open the drawer and just look at it and think about all the fun I had in those days and what great music we had at that time. Then I realize how much money I spent on it all. Well then again I did work the BMG & Columbia House deals to their max benefit. How many of you young whipper-snappers even know what I'm talking about? I don't think I even own a CD player anymore. Wait - I think my car still has one.
I think we win this one handily. RSL isn’t good, and for the first time since the stadium opened, we seem to actually have turned it into an advantage.
Heads up we are looking at almost a repeat of last week with an inch of rain Friday into Saturday morning. Strong winds through the day Saturday, starting to die down as we get closer to game time. Currently a feels like of 30 degrees at kickoff.
I still buy CDs. I'm going to need to put my recent purchases into deeper storage as my shelf is nearly full. Photo 1 I rip them to a file server, this enables me to make playlists, stream to my phone (and car) my own music at high quality. I have 30,000 songs, 82 days of music, and 1.2 terabytes of data. Photo 2.
Music artists appreciate those still buying physical media or downloads. Streaming royalties suck! I still buy 30-40 albums per year and mostly listen with a 256GB iPod Touch with around 20GB free. Probably have to upgrade to a 512GB iPhone in a couple years just for music. I also have a decent collection of DVD-Audio and SACD discs to listen to in 5.1.
When the 1st gen mp3 players came out, I started doing that too. But it was laborious and devices didn't have enough storage back then so I abandoned the project. I think I still have the old laptop I was saving everything to. I figure at this point my grandkids will enjoy my collection just as I admired my dad and uncles' vinyl collections.- gosh I'm probably not far off from that being a reality.
Help me out with Grouchy Points. Since Salty Dawgs can be true with multiple score outcomes, would both right answers get points?
