Dyche is a special kind of character, he's pretty hardcore English in everything he does and Tarkowski and Keane are his former players at Burnley and know his style. They hit some form and he has a bias, doesn't really mean too much based on the situation considering every manager prior clearly had Mina penciled into the 11 when fit. Giving him a chance to get games and be with our squad would be good, I'm fine with Lucemi and Cuesta but Mina>>>Davinson and anyone else past those 3, also Davinson isn't really playing much at all either.

and when is Mina actually fit? Literally never, like with James he comes with serious risks so if you insist on using this guy, do not rely on him and be absolutely prepared for a plan b and make sure the doctors are ready for action nearby.

With Sanchez, we'll see now that Conte is gone.

Tottenham is deep enough in defense that Sanchez may never see more than a few games. He can still play EPL just not a top 6 club. We do need him sharp and ready so hope he moves elsewhere.

They don't come with serious risk if you have multiple plans. Don't build everything around James and Mina, but use them when available. Call them and play them when fit, and make sure you have plans that don't rely on them. Lucemi and Cuesta are an easy pair to lean on as they have a lot of time playing together, but we need at least 4 CB's minimum and we have a big drop off past Cuesta/Lucemi/Mina>>>davinson>>>>>>>everyone else.

If there's close options and these guys are cancers fine, Mina is actually been one of the biggest leaders for us for almost 8 years now and the depth chart for Mina and James has them very clearly still in our starting 11 based on their form when healthy up to this point, we don't have the depth in those positions and they have too much talent.

thats where we agree, but as far as James goes, I think its better if we pick and choose when he starts, his deficiencies are really going to show against the wrong teams so perhaps we can sub him in like we did with JFQ in specific moments

with the amount of games they get in england, he will still more than likely play quite a bit after looking at their squad. Unless im missing someone, I only see Romero and Lenglet for his position

    EDIT: maybe Ben Davies too

Yeah I think you can pull it off with James if you're a good manager and have the tools around him, but not sure we do. Especially in qualifiers quite often its 2 or 3 games in a short window and with James even if we want to its highly unlikely he'll be able to start those games in a short turnover so I think its absolutely gonna make sense to pick and choose how to use him. In that sense it should manage itself, use him sparingly in tough away fixtures we have to defend a lot, and lean on him more when we should have more of the ball.

Dier and Tanganga too, but Dier plays central so maybe not competing for a position really. Hopefully he gets more minutes, but honestly over the last couple years he's been poor especially on the ball he's a liability.

Mina has to stay healthy. That is the key to his situation. I personally would love to see Mina on the roster but I can see the writing on the wall if he does not.

As for the Rueda-Lorenzo comparison we just have to wait and see. Lorenzo has more of an advantage in my mind because he has been here during our most successful time in history and knows the league and the way things are done abroad. It would not be wise to say he is the same as Rueda and that the overall process or progress will be the same just because you see some similarities or correlations.

Look we are scoring which is great we don’t have our best 3 players in Mina(saw the last few post but he is our 3rd top active scorer, think 2nd most goals out of any Colombian at world cups), Diaz(our only Star player) and Sinisteria (hopefully he can stay healthy). I don’t really like Barrios or Lerma but not having them is a hole that the current coach has been able to fill.

issue is we are pre Pekerman Colombia that we are a sleep the 1st 10 and last 10 minutes of the game. We have played teams that we are Better than.

When we play a top Euro team, Argentina or Brazil then will be better to know where we are at. Not one of the teams we have played should we lose to regardless of who we called. The US game I blame his starting line up for not winning. Korea comes down to Vargas fking sucks!!!

Mina has to be 1st choice he is our new Yepes. Then Lucumi, Cuesta and very far below that is Sanchez who is our new Luis Perea(he fks up a lot but is fast enough to get the ball back…. Needs to request a transfer to knock Lucumi or Cuesta from starting over him.

I hope in June we play a better euro team to see where we truly are and at that point know what his starting 11 are.

happy we are winning but we were great pre WCQs with the Portuguese coach as well

you guys notice how we played with Lucho last year? It seemed like we gave him the ball and let him do his thing. It was like Lucho against the other team with no help. Some of it is probably Lucho plays at a different speed than everyone else.

But still, I can't wait for him and Sinisterra to incorporate fully into the team. Its going to cost minutes to guys like Arias or Duran (someone has to sit) but the team will be a lot better.

As for Mina, love the guy but its hard to depend on the guy. I also agree about Davinson, maybe a move to a team not top 6 might be good for him. A backup for Uribe, actually a replacement is of high need.

Diaz ever since the Copa America just did not live up to the hype. A lot of it had to do with teams game planning better for him. Some of it had to do with him trying to do too much. Some of it may be what you are pointing out here that his level was just too high compared to everyone else who was either injured or bad form.
This cycle he has looked a little better but still did some bad things against Mexico that made me scratch my head in the first half. Second half changed as we all know. Sini and Carrascal both changed the game and I cannot wait to see all three of them build chemistry together. *Edit Santos Borre played well too.

Mina and Davinson still have their roles. It is just going to be interesting to see if they will strictly be benchers or rotational cause Cuesta and Lucumi seem to be getting better and better both on the field and as leaders.

I am hoping the replacement for Uribe will be Puerta but do not think that will happen anytime soon. All other candidates are injured, are in bad form, inexperienced, or Alzate who has not been called up since the Mexico match.

it had to do with the lack of full back support. He was alone on that flank and being double teamed. Just nowhere for him to go without an overlapping left back

Diaz and Machado attacking the left flank could be very fun to watch too.
