    Just watched the highlights of the Jamaica Mexico game. Sweet strike for Jamaica's first goal

    Bet Eddie Howe is cursing after those two games !! He could have probably got McTominey for about £30 million in the summer .. now it’s probably doubled

    He was a bit lucky on the first goal, but did better when he repeated the trick at the start of the seconf half. I like how he manhandled Kepa right before half-time to prevent the quick break and get into his head. The handbags were flying around a lot.

    It was a great game. Loads of chances and Scotland had a fair share of them. Spain are playing differently. Scotland pressed well, so Spain were forced to kick it upfield quite a bit. They put in over 30 crosses. In the past, Spain had very pacy, tricky wingers, when they lived up to their tag as furia roja. I don't see that in them now and I don't think this approach suits them unless they can find some really quality wide men, but they still possess a formidable central midfield to dominate possession, arguably the best in the world.

    Great win for Scotland. @Deadtigers you were right about La Liga compared to Scottish Premiership. The quality isn't that much of a drop off until we start talking Barca and Real.

    Paratici was not a good DF, but he had connections and got on well with people. I think Spurs are better off with him out. The difference a good DF makes can't be understated. The work Guintoli did with Napoli is a big part of this season's successes.

    I mean until Atletico got that dirty Azerbaijan money, it felt like Rangers vs Celtic for the title it was all that mattered. Bigger clubs hover up talent of smaller clubs I mean look at how Liverpool gutted Southampton but the way these two clubs seem to just completely dominate in any kid with flash a talent ends up playing for them it's just a bit much.

    outside of Williams Jr. Spain had zero spark.

    OK they used some older forwards that might be considered 2nd string but given the dearth of good forwards are they really?

    the way McTominay played and finished you'd have thought it was Leeds out there. Spain just didn't play well. it didn't look too dissimilar to the Dutch minus the result.

    the Rodri comments after were in poor taste but it's Rodri so...

    I know people will think I am picking on him, but his defensive positioning decisions at times are truly baffling.

    Their midfield cover not much help at times either. Seven ‘pool players in the pic and only 1 of 3 City players marked effectively.

    Posting for the pic;
