Exactly - it's just another example of how a credulous media got gaslighted in to reporting nonsense Same with don't say Gay. One moment its about no sex talk with 5th graders, then a couple of months later they are erasing the existence of gay people from schools
Which is why people raving about drag queens shouldn't be engaged with as if they are moderate centrists just thinking of the children
Imposter syndrome? Marjorie Taylor Greene: I’m from south south uh— I’m sorry northwest Georgia pic.twitter.com/4Jdph0egeo— Acyn (@Acyn) March 29, 2023
Damn, I would not have pegged her to be from somewhere close to Chattanooga or ATL. I was thinking Savannah (which is really kind of Old South like Charleston or Richmond, places I really can't stay in for more than a few hours).
I'm hoping against hope that he hasn't gone totally centrist. He has a wife and children of color. Are they in danger from him? Probably. How much? Can't say.
Her district is NW Georgia. EDIT: Charleston or Richmond? I can't imagine MTG getting elected from either place, particularly not the latter.
No, she wouldn't. It's just the whole wrought iron/magnolia tree-lined/port city stuff triggers me. With Charleston, it was the old ladies sitting on the ground making baskets for a small percentage of what they're really worth. Richmond doesn't have as much of that, and Charleston is too big to elect her. Not necessarily too conservative.
Got it--not sure I would lump Richmond in with Charleston & Savannah that way (I agree that the latter two have that aspect in common). But while I visit Richmond from time to time (it's only a 90 minute drive from my house when traffic is moving; my wife and I may drive down this weekend for a short outing as a matter of fact) I've never lived there.
It's still 8 years out, but as of right now, my wife and I are planning to retire to Richmond. We're city people at heart, and it's a new city to explore. Good theater scene, it's close to UVa and to my home theater in Staunton.
Southlandians - is this considered a hide your underage daughters district or a lock up your purty pigs one?
Hey--stay in touch! My wife and I more like 10-12 years out, but Richmond is on the list for OUR possible retirement home. We've even considered buying a house now and renting it out until we're ready to move. It's a great little city.
