infuriating goal to concede. Wall did its job. Cho might have done better but still made the save but Sonny and in particular KTH just standing there flat footed allowing the easy tap-in. At least poor set piece marking can be worked on.

Refs robbed the game. Only 7 added minutes? Curious to see which nationally was the VAR ref. East Asian refs should ref West Asian games and West Asian refs should ref East Asian games. So much bs East Asian politics that bleed through even in sports.

be it as it may, just a friendly. Uruguay are a top side and there were a sh!tload of positives for JK to take from this. A draw was more than deserved for us.

The ref and linesmen were Japanese. Some said VAR ref was Japanese too. Only the substitute ref was Korean. KFA loves to call Japanese referees. It has been awhile that they generally have been unfavorable to Korea. Chung Monkey being pro-Japan has something to do with it.

In the mean time Japan does not use Korean referees even though most of them give shamefully biased calls in favor of Japan. Maybe that is why Japan does not use them in friendlies. In FIFA and AFC games they have no choice but to accept Korean refs and they secretly love it

Agreed! lots of good things, yup would of liked a draw. JK did a good job in this camp, especially with the opponents that came in the International Break. Curious to see who the countries we gonna play in June. Plenty of time for JK to scout the players he wants. Hate how Concacaf has Nations League. Would like to see Korea play Mexico and USA, and watch Korea in person

yeah lots of positives. Kangin era is here and now. Haven't seen a KNT player as hungry as OHG in a long time. I like the chip on his shoulder. I love his need to show that he's better than CGS. Klinsmann now needs to usher in a new partner for KMJ. Love KYG, but his days at top level are numbered.

The photo often used is right before the cross is taken and OHK is assumed to be faster than the defender but the actual motion footage shows that OHK stopped while the defender lunged forward(and then the defender stopped and OHK moved forward giving the false impression that OHK was slightly offside).

Nationalistic bias is something to be wary of but not everything against the NT is a cool and right thing to do. I just loath Korean youths in their 20's. You are the worst 토왜 in history.

Any highlights which include the ruled-out goals? I personally am confused by Klinsmann's refusal to use more of the substitutes earlier.

Hwang In-beom is absolute class. It was very refreshing to see this type of attacking play.

KMJ: " I am mentally tired.. I want to focus more on Napoli".

And these brainless reporters are saying he's gonna retire from our NT.

    -------

It is definitely more fun to watch as Kilnsmann focuses on attacking more. Need more work on the defense for sure.. Nothing has changed for decades. Our defense is non-existent in set pieces.

Also, our long passes are so fking bad. It seems like LKI is the only one who has vision and creativity and knows how to pass.

And wtf ref.. Uruguay pulled our players' shirts like what, 43244324 times? and 0 card to them?

    HUJ: garbage

OHG: Obviously the only striker in form right now.

LJS: runs around so much to cover lots of spaces and put pressure

LKI: MOM. I still want to see him in CAM. Wondering how he's gonna fit into the team when HHC is back.

SHM: His ball possession was shit in some situations. Still made lots of great chances.

HIB: Full of confidence. Wish his passes are more accurate sometimes.

SJH: 0 vision. SHM was frustrated at him for not passing the ball quickly during the counter attack at the end.

LKJ: I like him better than KJS.

KYG: Wish his goal was not disallowed

KMJ: no reason to make the foul to give the freekick which led to conceding. It seems like he always underperforms when he's in our NT. Probably related to the "mental fatigue" he mentioned..

KTH: Main reason why we conceded after JHW made a save from the freekick.

JHW: obviously a better choice if you dont care about buildups.

Kim Young-gwon's goal was never going to stand. VAR needs to do a better job at capturing all angles and closeups because it's an absolute shame that most often than not they tend to fail to show everything, but photographers can pick these up no problem.

Lee Ki-je played much better than he did vs Colombia and should be our starting LB from here on out. Seol Young-woo will get his turn.

Both Hwang In-beom and Lee Kang-in were class. Particularly in Lee Kang-in's case, I feel like Klinsmann has found a liking and a way to utilize him more often.

Jung Woo-young doesn't fit in Klinsmann's system and should immediately be replaced with Son Jun-ho and Paik Seung-ho.

Kim Tae-hwan has speed and physical strength but he's far too flat footed and one dimensional. If we're going to use Kim Moon-hwan's backup, we might as well stick to Yoon Jong-gyu or maybe test out Um Won-sang there.

Oh Hyeon-gyu is heads above Cho Gue-sung and Hwang Ui-jo, and yes both of them are out of form, but even when on form, Oh is the better striker of the two especially Ui-jo. His goal should've stood, I don't get the people behind VAR or what they're even looking at. Also, Joo Min-kyu should get called up because he's still a consistent goal scorer.

It's only been two games but I'm liking our attacking plays under Klinsmann. When Hong Hyun-seok, Yang Hyun-jun, Joo Min-kyu etc. comes into play, things should be getting more interesting and start to take shape.

There is nothing to gain from a Japanese referee. No Korean really wants to win thanks to favorable calls by a Japanese. They hate even more to lose because of a Japanese. Chung Monkey simply wants to suck up to Japanese. He thinks he is friends with the head of JFA but he is humiliated in every AFC convention. Chung is too stupid to realize he is being used.

Korean boards are wild and comical. There are so many "cool guys" who support everything Japanese. The most popular reason that the goal called off was indeed offside was that OHG had his arm in the offside position. They so confidently state it so that I had to look it up to see if there was any rule change from my younger days. These guys know no more about soccer than average bigsoccer members. They are just as phony too. They must get so much orgasm from playing a cool guy not swept in the sea of jingoism.

I can't see a scenario where Hwang UJ will start over Oh...
Let's get Oh in there every game... Kid's a baller.

Didn't get to watch here in US. Watched highlights and catching up on some post game analysis by the usual YouTubers and common theme I hear is how good Lee Kang In was in the game. That's excited to hear!

    Let's get him in there!

My dude just stood there during that tap in...

Oh has looked good... Clearly our best striker at the moment...

I would rate JK like crazy if he’s able to convert Um Won Sang to a RB lol. We know what he can do going forward. But the guy is 5’7 and a hard wind can topple him. But if he’s able to defend and become serviceable as a RB. The right side of the defense will have so much pace to burn when tracking back.

Not the biggest clubs, though. Bench rotting would be bad.

HIB is on his way to (perhaps already is) becoming our talisman at MF. While there are moments of poor decision-making, it's just a matter of time until he comes a central figure in our midfield. I'm glad to see the void left by Ki is being filled.

Edit: Now we need to find a better alternative to JWY...

I really like the way you are playing with your new coach. It suits you so well to play in an offensive system, but you really need to improve your defense because it is your biggest problem right now. I saw your game yesterday, it was nice to see you play, unlike my Japan team which is very boring to watch because of Moriyasu.

yeah but you guys don't give away cheap goals so easily.

But after only 2 matches albeit friendlies, Klinsmann already trying to play to LKI and HIB's strengths. If a longterm replacement of KYG can step up and we can convert a few of our guys into a proper holding (so long JWY) - Klinsmann's style will hopefully show dividends. But as it is, the cheap goals we continue to give up are infuriating - esp in AFC when we get ourselves into needless trouble vs grassrolling teams.
