And results were average for Bayern standards. Getting eliminated by Villarreal is terrible no matter if you have won 6/6 group games. Benitez at RM probably has better winning percentage than Del Bosque or similar because those days 75-80 points were enough to win the league most seasons. Depor even won with 69 points in 2000. So Nagel being Top 4 winning percentage at Bayern all time has same context as Tata Mariano 2013-14 Barca having more points than Rijkaard's double winning 2004-05 team. Kovac was underwhelming at Bayern, but he won the domestic double in his first season. Carlo's Bayern lost to 2016-17 RM. I don't think Nagel achieved anything more than those two at Bayern.
J-Meezy funny stuff I am into stats and end product. But a friend of mine brought up how many players myself I idolize who are legendary but would be crucified in the era of stats. It make me think Zizou, Dhino and Riquelme would be considered time wasters for their lack of an incredible dribble that lead to nothing. He had a point. I still put end product over entertainment but I do miss that element of the game that's gone after the whole data science bit came in. The irony is I like someone like Alain Saint-Maximin of Newcastle. Pure showboater and that's what I miss. But at the same time, I don't want him anywhere near my team lol. It's a conundrum.
I think Lucas can help when we are facing a low block and our RB is more about providing width and going forward but Lucas isn't a defender with all respect to the player.
Interesting starting XI. Probably should end that experiment, but their odds of qualifying are certainly in the 95-99% range.
Germany 2- Belgium 3 Lukaku could have had first 20 minutes hat trick if he weren’t Lukaku! Florian Wirtz subbed after just 32 mins, completed 9 passes and lost ball 5 times.
Nagel got intimidated by Mane'a words apparently.
Comes out now after he leaves. Seems like guilty conscience from the board. As if no dressing room has players that are not happy about playing time.
The timing of the story is crearly intentional. Giving the coach the "who the f*** do you think you are?" in front of the other players is kind of crazy though. There's an article on focus called "A coach that messes with Thomas Müller, has no future at Bayern", basically making clear that Müller has a future with the club even after he's done playing. Kovac, Ancelotti also came to a collision course with him and ended up losing.
Sad if true. While I get the gloating and boasting, clubs should be able to hold on to their guys before it becomes like basketball where players move from team to team annually.
I think we are past that point, there is no where near as much club loyalty as I would like, but to be honest apart from what might be someone’s “home” club, or a few select quite unique clubs like ourselves, most football clubs are much of the same. But it’s been like this for a long time. Not sure what it is about this particular case that saddens you.

They cheated A man drives into a whorehouse He is seen taking cash out of the atm He is seen buying condoms He goes in Comes out 30 mins later zipping his pants He is seen throwing condom wrapper away a Woman is seen waving saying come back again @4x4s to the man’s wife. There is no evidence that he definitely had sex with the hooker!!! There is no evidence he cheated!!!!
What’s strange is this whole time I kept hearing about these ref reports and lower league scouting but now I’m reading Negreira never actually sold reports (apparently his son does) nor was that his services to Barca at any time. His contract was only verbal and no reports were provided (im assuming this means 3rd grade generated ones reported in the media came from his son… idk). He was also buying gifts for refs… But yeah, nothing to see here. Just the usual, pay the VP of the ref committee for “lobbying services” and the usual businesses expenses.
I mean I’m not like the rest that is 100% conspiracy theorist. I don’t believe everything is rigged. I don’t believe when we win is because we are awesome and when we lose it’s because we were cheated. That’s some Trump loser type of shit And some victim syndrome BUT when a club is paying the head of the refs…I mean come on. what @4x4s and Barca supporters don’t comprehend is that the agreement was never gonna be a blatant win us the league ref. There is possible jail time for such corruption. The agreement is clearly carefully influence the matches when you can. A pk here, a non call here, a disallowed goal here and there. Many times maybe Barcelona would have won anyways, maybe they ended up winning by several games, but just a minor touch to give them an edge. Barcelona still had to play games and they still had to win games. Refs weren’t going to do it for them nor could they have no matter how corrupt they are. but that cheating was done is as clear as day. In races as tight as the ones we’ve had with them and even Atletico, 2 results make a HUGE difference. That’s how despite the cheating, we’ve still been able to win some leagues and even without the cheating, they would have won some too. Just not as many and they clearly stole some from us.
I never denied that they paid for internals/influence. But the only people that can change the outcome are the players and the referee. Unless somebody from those two groups are in on the thing, you'll have a hard time getting Barca stripped of titles. Of course Negreira will be punished for a million and one sins but you won't see Barca stripped of a single point going back. People just think with their brain on mute and think I'm pretending that nothing is going on. Of course something is going on, but to have a ref win the game for you is a step too big for it to have zero proof on it. Without a single document proving a ref made a decision with intent, this is basically a blow to Negreira and Barca exclusively. I struggle with the sense that the guys officiating games right now would practically be anti Madrid. If thats the case, then Ancelotti's league record is irrelevant, no?
So let me get this straight, you think Barca paid an official in control of assigning referees and then paid him an extra amount if his son drove the ref from the hotel to the stadium because they wanted what? And they continued to do so for 20 years because it was cool?
You think the league has been rigged for 20 years but believe Carlo has a bad league record. How does that work? You expect him to win a league rigged against him? To add to that, if the club has been robbed for 20 years and nobody in Madrid noticed a thing or even did and didn't do anything about it? all of them should step down.
Nobody is expecting Barcelona to be stripped of titles. Nobody is expecting any real punishment for them other than a fine (maybe). Perhaps Goldman and JP adds a couple of percent to the interest rate on the loan they are giving them based on diminished reputation (maybe). To fully accept the fact that an elaborate setup was instituted, and millions were paid but all of that was not to influence refereeing is an amazing thought process. Can you expand on that? Current referees are on record saying he assigned which competition they would officiate but didn't think he assigned specific matches. I read somewhere that a computer system was in place for a while which randomly assigned games to refs but then it was done away with. I also doubt very much that any system whether computerized or not generates allocations 100% randomly because we know bigger games are given to more experienced refs (as they should) or as we were told for many years that refs who score well on the internal scoring systems get rewarded with bigger games. So the 100% random selections never happened (i am not saying that you or someone else is claiming that).
No one is really expecting anything but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen paying the head of an organization definitely has an impact on something. This is silly. They cheated. They got caught. They got away with it we move on but don’t act as if it didn’t happen
