Barcelona far outdo them in every way though. National teams are all pretty terrible if you think about it.
South American teams in general are known for their unsportasmanship. It was way worse in the 90s. But still happens. I recall watching Copa America where Chile, Uruguay, and Argentina would play dirty it made Busquets' peak-a-boo look like a honorable act. The word for what SA players do is "catimba". I'd describe it as a mix of violence and playacting. And the worst offenders have always been Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, in that order. Libertadores used to be unwatchable. For decades, the refs would protect the Spanish-speaking teams. I heard that in the 60s, Brazilian teams preferred to play friendlies in NA than play the Libertadores. That's why Argentinian teams have so many titles. I don't find all national teams terrible. Always had a soft spot for Italy, Norway, Germany, and Mexico. The 2002 Argentina squad was really awesome too. Aside from Ortega, they were respectable players overall.
Seems to me that you're the only one "crying" everytime a poster questions Argentina's WC victory. Lol so just like racism in Spain, hating on Argentina is a cultural thing, too?
I don't see what one has to do with the other. Then again some people are too stupid to realise that racist chants are a common theme in Spain and think it's a justification of the issue rather than just the fact that I'm pointing it out. It's a historical theme in this league. I remember it being an issue before there was youtube and social media. Baffles me thst people think it just happened cause of Vinicius. People here actually believe the Atleti Fans are the racists while the Real Madrid fans are the progressives despite Real Madrid being a historically right/conservative leaning Club and both Clubs being in the same city. I just find it amazing that people are still butthurt about Messi despite him not even playing for Barca anymore. Judging by the reactions people here were more angry when Argentina won the world cup than when we were washed by Barca. Mad world.
Don't act like brazilians don't do the same things, every time a brazilian team is losing starts with fouls only Pepe would do
CONMEBOL and copa America has become unwatchable I love watching Colombia play but not in CONMEBOL. Even the more skilled teams like Brazil and Argentina reduce themselves to hacking, flopping, arguing with the refs, and fighting just terrible
DJ Mariio. Bro done the SIU at Camp Nou 😂😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/0fJK474Ze3— WolfRMFC (@WolfRMFC) March 26, 2023
That SIU man... the run we had with Cristiano at his peak of powers was just amazing. Crazy he should have won even more league titles.
I know what I saw, so do many other people. Lots of issues in football but one particularly annoying one is the need to create the narrative by the federations to be historically relevant. The WC would be just fine with pushing Messi into a final.
None of this makes racism ok, also who are the posters that believe all of the above, i personally can't think of any reading through the discussions i've seen on here, maybe you can enlighten me
I never said it makes it okay. I'm just saying it's most likely not going to go away from Spanish stadiums any time soon. The country has to change for that to happen and it will take years and years.
"I am not saying it's okay I'm just explaining why it should be understood and tolerated silly!" Rationalization and justification... yet we're the fools.

Nah, Brazil has always been about dribbling and getting into the opponents' nerves. They never acted like the teams I mentioned, aside from Neymar.
You have to be an idiot to read that out of the context. The idea is that it's not a football problem, and it isn't footballs problem to solve. This is an issue the country has to look at itself with and come to terms with socially. It happens from one end of the country to the other. The clubs can't jump too deep into it, because it's not their business to fix society. You might be used to US sports franchises who act like they are a moral authority, but football doesn't work that way.
