Bellingham needs a rest. I would expect Maddison to come in for him.

I'd like to see Guehi in for Maguire, we really need to be phasing Maguire out as a starter if we're to push on another level. His passing and bringing the ball out has declined quite a bit in the last year. Guehi isn't particularly ideal as a long term replacement but he is very calm on the ball and would improve us in that aspect. Hopefully with a view to Colwill coming in as the long term left side centre back.

 

As I keep having to explain … holding a different opinion to you does not make someone a troll ..

 

If (or when) we have to start picking players from the championship, like Southgate suggests, would this really be a bad thing?
I believe our championship league is better than some tier 1 leagues in other major countries and the quality is very good.

We regularly pick players from the championship for the u21 team and they do very well. We also have some talented players there too with the likes of mcatee, Doyle on loan from City.

I wouldn't be against it personally, I would just like to get everyone else's point of view.

 

I think it would be a bad thing unless there was an exceptional talent that happened to be playing in that division. We did call-up Livermore from The Championship about 6 years ago and it was because our squad was at pretty low point and the midfield options were terrible.

 

How many damm players does he need ?

I saw a thread a while back showing that we could can put THREE competitive teams out at any given time - he only has to pick one team..
Most countries don’t have anywhere near as many talented guys as us .

I'm not sure if you are trolling (I haven't weighed in on this debate). Assuming you're being genuine, I'm just going off southgates comments about the future of the national team in the next 5 years.

Yes, at this moment in time, we could put out 2 or 3 teams but I'm thinking more long term.

 

Everyone of our rightback options would be starters for every other national team

 

Unfortunately, having a dozen world class right backs doesn't win us tournements.
Ask scotland about all their good left backs, they can't even buy a qualification to a tournement.

As far as I know calling people trolls is usually done by teenagers calling out other teenagers rather than actually discussing things .. it’s basically taking the easy way out

I rather have him playing in the centre of a midfield 3. We're not short of left sided attackers.

 

Yeah, I would also but you know Gareth will only play players in the same position as they play in for their Clubs…..unless you’re Trippier.

There’s a lot of good things Southgate has brought to the national team, it’s the obvious he seems to struggle with.
