Dang it, FIFA! WTF? What’s your problem? France in all-blue; Argentina in albiceleste and all-white? Not sure who the home team is supposed to be, but both nations’ home kits do not clash with the others’. France could be in blue-white-red, and Argentina could be in Albiceleste-black-white. Done. No problem. Kind of a slap in the face of both nations’ traditions too. Monochrome zzzzzzzz.
Oh, and one more thing. Looking at the crowd, in one corner amd behind one goal is a literal sea of sky blue and white shirts. And scattered through the rest of the stadium too. Standing out much better than France’s blue does. If the US were to play in a quarterfinal or semifinal, how sweet would it be to have a sea of red and white stripes. Not a hodgepodge of some in white, some in blue, some in red. An actual, visible, visual identity. C’mon, Nike. C’mon USSF. Make this happen. Fans want it. We will spend our money on the jerseys. Waldos in 2026.
Nike was tipping their hand here as they were literally washing away the stripes in this kit. I've been on the Waldo train since they debuted as well, but as this point I won't hold my breath for anything from Nike
I just took delivery of my 2022 USMNT World Cup Tyler Adams (authentic) with the WC22 sleeve patches and the match details for the Iran game. I was at the match and it was an unforgettable experience. A local San Diego guy who I’ve bought a lot of US jerseys from over the years did the customization. His jerseys are all genuine (no Chinese knockoffs) and his work has always been flawless. If anyone’s interested he goes by willthekitman on eBay; he said it’s OK to post that. I’m beyond super happy with how this turned out! I’ll be wearing this next weekend up to Carson.
so it's not like I've come full circle on the 2022 blue away, which I originally thought was maybe the worst shirt the US has ever had. It's far from my favorite, but I like it a lot more now. Maybe it was just so different it took some getting used to. Also, I thought it looked good on the players on the field. I got the authentic and the nuances in it are sort of cool as it has a lot of details that make it better than the replica version. For example, the material has a lot of texture to it and the coloring is different. Adding the details as shown in the pic above makes it a pretty unique shirt and one I'll be wearing a lot. For comparison, here is Adams in a photo from the Iran match. I think my man got it spot on!
not sure if theres any interest in this (here), but theres a leak of the womens wc uni w/"paint blobs" and gold logos. i assume its the same template otherwise, and this is just a guess at how it will look...
That's not the same template -- it's a return to the normal badge on left, swoosh on right. This will be (I don't know if the leak is real) the first WNT-only design since 2015 with the black and neon green trim. They're only getting a new white kit, with the dark one staying the same.
Good shirts are good shirts, and bad shirts are bad shirts, but nothing makes a bad shirt look better than winning. That's a nice keepsake.
sort of the reason I waited on customizing this one. Well, a bigger reason is I decided at the last minute I wanted it and liked it better than the white so it arrived the day before I flew to Qatar. I knew I was going to customize it so when I got back it was a matter of choosing my favorite USMNT player from the tournament and my favorite match. Both were easy choices. I'll be wearing this proudly in Carson on Saturday. It'll never be my favorite design, but the shirt will always be special to me.
US training kit Not a good look since it looks inspired by the mass shootings we are known for worldwide.
https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...-away-uniforms-ahead-of-fifa-womens-world-cup USWNT kits for the WWC revealed. Note that the blue away kit will also be used for the USMNT starting later this year (whether that be the June window or for the friendly vs. Mexico later this month)
🟦 NEW KITS FOR '23 🟦 pic.twitter.com/Yk2QfP81cD— U.S. Soccer Men's National Team (@USMNT) April 3, 2023 oh soccer gods why...like a 90s short set, fat navy stripe down the side, the lightening bolt/tiger stripes on the socks are red, the crest has bad reception...
I like the tie-dye better. And I like the men's stay-puff marshmallow man whites from the WC better than the "drop cloth." And I really didn't like the WC jerseys as it was. So that's saying something.
I suggest the USMNT kits for the 2026 FIFA World Cup should be amazing and reflect the 250th of the declaration of Independence. Home: horizontal red and white stripes, blue shirt, white socks Away: Blue, white shirt, blue
I'm going to be in the minority here, but I really like the Jackson Pollock white kit. I don't think I've seen an official jersey with this look and feel. Abstract Expressionism, or the "New York School" was an approach to painting that was spearheaded by Americans - Jackson Pollock being one of them. So, there is actually a story to be told with this shirt. Might be a stretch for some, but I dig the connection. It's undeniably American. And that's cool.
Perhaps. But I'd prefer to see a little more Ralph Lauren - he designed the Cosmos uniforms - than Jackson Pollock in our strip. What's next? Subtle inscriptions of the sheet music to Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings? Something from Emily Dickinson or Walt Whitman in written Morse
I wish Nike would subcontract the USSoccer account to adidas, or maybe one of those more obscure Euro brands.
