First MLS game of the weekend. Galaxy on the road vs. Portland - two teams that are struggling at the start of the season... For the Galaxy, still no Chicharito or Costa and no Bond now either, and doubt Aude will have his visa by then. But Calegari will be available. But man, here's a game where a speedy winger would come in handy... Let's Go Galaxy!!!
Portland does not have Asprilla, Blanco, Yimmi and a few more lesser-knowns. We still without Chich, Douglas and now, Bond to injury, Dejan and Leerdam for the thing. Not worried about Bond as to me, him and Klinsmann are interchangeable. Bond slightly ahead because of the bench-rust with Klinsy but that's about it. Gonna be an ugly match under rain, cold and more rain. I hope these late-bought people can play and infuse the team with something, Man, at this point I'll take anything.
GAME DAY!! I’m not afraid of Portland. But, who is gonna score?? The head says no one. But, the heart says we get some lucky bounces. Let’s Go!
It's the best moment to play Portland : they have a ton of injuries, one of their striker s*cks since an ACL injury two years ago, the second is a USL guy so they're really struggling to score, and one of their best player is with his national team (the RB Mosquera). Offensively, we have to shut Williamson (and Moreno in a lesser manner) and we should not be in real trouble. But of course, our offense s*cks too and as much as I love Preston Judd, it may not be the best moment for him to get that much pressure. Big game for him.
Zavaleta, I assume. He is gone on International duty along with Dejan and Ferkranus. And then Leerdam was gone and played 90+ minutes on Thursday night for Suriname. Which means maybe a first start for Calegari today....

Calegari gets the start. And Memo for Efrain. Otherwise what’s expected. And Coulibaly makes the bench for the first time this season.
Except for Edwards all of our starters are pretty tidy with the ball. Of course I’m assuming this about Calegari - look forward to seeing him play. Definitely a finesse lineup - again excepting Edwards.
I have faith that despite our many injuries, we are still the better team. Let's get 'er done folks!!! Here is a link for those who might need one. http://cdn.livetv.sx/webplayer.php?t=ifr&c=2096343&lang=en
Unfortunately we look to be weaker on the wings than last season. Hopefully Boyd will exceed expectations.
