Those were the daaaaays... In this Ohio diner, it was a tradition: big cup of Folgers, waffle and eggs, then off to the old Post Office to mail the DA a death threat along with some baby powder. But now the woke mob is taking all of that away.— New York Times Pitchbot (@DougJBalloon) March 24, 2023
Donald has a rally in Waco this Saturday. It's a ploy to remind his cult of the infamous Waco siege of 1993, where an anti-government cult battled the FBI. Scores of people died. He wants the same violent chaos to rescue him from justice. But we can stop him. If we book the… pic.twitter.com/a5zCIfCVAZ— Mary L. Trump (@MaryLTrump) March 24, 2023 I suppose the question is this: at what point in Germany in the 1930's was hope for the rule of law to prevent the rise of Hitler OBE, and it became necessary for someone -- anyone -- to do what was needed to prevent the holocaust?
Look up the name "Carl Schmitt" and you'll see what happened to the rule of law in 1930s Germany. Basically, Schmitt, a lawyer and a judge, came up with the legal justifications that made the Holocaust legal. And to this day, you can find political theorists on the Right and the Left who adopt his work in support of their causes.
Yeah, but … they tend to let Trump do and say anything that come into his deranged grey matter. Heaven forbid they upset him.
Well, Bush had lawyers who also found that black sites and torture were "legal" -- I suppose my question is more about at what point do we say the rule of law is not enough of an excuse to stop us from dealing with Trump? Or is the answer: "We are a nation that respects the rule of law, and we have to accept that it is insufficient to stop Trump, and he may therefore regain power at which point it will be too late. And like Germany, we will have to leave it to some future generation to deal with this problem?
I don't get why Trump is not arrested for the Baseball bat message He already did one coup - how many warnings are needed
Exactly -- how long to do we allow him to do this? Oh wait -- it's perfectly legal. Nevermind. Just like this:
Just for once can the Dems do some digital fascism? like Hilary does a tweet of arriving at gitmo with a car battery and a set of jumper leads? Because what is the difference between that and what Trump is doing?
I think this is an important question. I hope that the kind of people whose opinions matter are starting to think about this. My answer would be that we’re nowhere near that point, but the Constitution is not a suicide pact. He’s the biggest threat to it in 150 years, and let’s be real, many norms (and then some) were broken during the Civil War. Extraordinary times need extraordinary measures. Yes you do. C’mon. You know.
Or even better. Hill should actually go to the DC lockup and waterboard the 1/6ers while Hunter teabags them, ET gives them anal probes with his glowing finger & Soros steals their KoolAid packets from their cells. Yes, you read that right. ET is a key cog in the globo-universo-commiesocialist cabal who hates America, the earth & our solar system.
What are the chances a tornado will touch down in Waco and wipe Trump and his cult members off the face of the earth?
Well, if somehow it does happen MAGA ites everywhere would refer to it as the day the leader and faithful were called to heaven. Stay tuned for the return!
It can be repealed. I don't see it happening, but there's no reason conservatives shouldn't make an attempt. This would be their best opportunity.
Fairly decent, I'd imagine. He has cult members all over the world. A twister in Waco wouldn't wipe out enough of them to make any difference. I don't want to see an Act of God happen to him. I want to see him face the stiffest legal consequences available for as wide a net of accusations can be cast, or I want to see him walk the streets as a free man and live for another 40 years. No slaps on the wrist.
