I have done intermittent studies show that no matter the diet approach, the results are the same. Calories in vs calories out while keeping tabs on the macros There is no “best” approach
At the end of the day the rule is always the same... balanced diet with lots of greens and move more. it works for 99% of the population.
Problem with keto is that to most people it’s not sustainable and you do need carbs in your diet. It’s literally a macro, especially for body building. most people do keto, lose tons of weight, then gain it back. I feel a lifestyle diet routine is a more sustainable thing. Intermittent or in any other way
my favorite part of keto is that it directly burns ur fat which is what im trying to do lol idk ill think about it, im not sure if its good to constantly change diets
On the diet aspect I’m in an interesting part of my journey so I’ve been training for a few years but not dieting properly for the whole time. I mean was doing some kind of diet but not really accurate or successful. Anyways once I did know what to do, I was either unsuccessful and cheating a lot or I was very disciplined but constantly felt like I was fighting off the urge to eat, especially sweets which is my main weakness. but something has clicked this year I am no longer feeling this way. I don’t crave or want bad food, thus I rarely have a “cheat” meal. I bought my son m&ms while at the theater and he offered some and all I took was 3, not because i was trying to behave, but cuz I really didn’t want any. Today I got them donuts and no desire to even have a bite. I think my body has moved on from that and this is a major win for me
yeah before I started doing this seriously, I knew that the diet would be an issue for a variety of reasons. I seem to have very strong will power surprisingly and am usually able to ignore temptation and only willingly indulge if I can fit it into my daily macros. Like last night was game night with friends and they decided to order a pizza from the big cheese so I only had a single slice because I managed to fit it into my daily goal. I only get urges to eat when im physically hungry, which is normal for me because I need to be in a deficit, I did see a video of someone saying something similar to you. The cravings for him had stopped after about 2 weeks. today I was rly craving something but I didn't even know what it was, I had a scoop of chocolate vegan ice cream and it was the most satisfying thing ever and now I feel good again. can I ask what you're daily meals look like?
My meals are simple and repetitive. 7 times a day and mostly chicken, eggs, oatmeals, beans, veggies, and quinoa for carbs oh and protein shakes
would you say you're able to stick to the same foods on a regular basis? 7 times is a lot of damn food, that would take me some getting used to.
Yeah for the most part went to see John wick today and I couldn’t time my lunch outside of it because it was an 11 am 3 hour movie So I ordered 2 orders of chicken tenders . No soda No fries so even on the random setting, I try to make it work
Just whey protein with oats in the morning I buy those pure protein shakes twice a day Casein in the evening
if you're me, no big meals before working out otherwise you end up nauseous 10 minutes into ur workout
I've changed my usual routine to be able to hit all muscle groups at least twice a week and as of this week will be including cardio everyday to burn fat basically looks like this: Day1: Chest/Back/Biceps Day2: Shoulder/Legs/Triceps Day3: off Day 4: chest/back/biceps day5:shoulders/legs/triceps day 6: off day 7: off cardio everyday
So today I gave into temptation and ate a whole box of pizza, lol. On my way now to the gym to do some cardio
Haven't tried lifting yet but you're right. I've got loads and loads of energy. I'm breezing through this treadmill
