France are unleashing their loss in the WC on Netherlands. To be fair, they look very strong as hell. A lot of deadwood have retired from the NT which have made them even stronger

 

France have a crazy amount of talent to choose from, imagine what they could achieve if the whole squad didn't hate each other

Lol, historically it's not uncommon for NT squads to hate each other, I believe German teams detested each other for decades but they still seemed to get to a world or European championship final in every tournament back then.

I hope we get some fresh faces with the 2nd game. Allow the young guys to play. Otherwise what's the point of inviting them. People want to see these pibes play with the Albiceleste.

 

Its just friendlies, nothing is at stake. Remember England beat Germany 5-1 in 2001 but Germany reached the final a year later & England still just a quarterfinalist.

We beat Germany countless times in friendlies, we actually beat them 4-2 right after WC 2014 , beat Spain 4-1 right after WC 2010.

We should have beaten Netherlands and France with ease. 2-0 up and just sat back a little too much, Scaloni did not make the substitutions early enough and we let them back in. And when we did we then created chances to put them away again. Really we ought to have beaten France 4 or 5-0 when you look back at the game.

Holland barely had a sniff until the late meltdown.

 

Netherlands did nothing at ET. Its one way traffic. We had countless chances in last 30 mins. We should never sleep after 2-0 . We only keep pushing further againts Croatia , perhaps that 0-3 lost in 2018 was in our players psyche.

 

I would not introduce the wc trophy into this conversation at all. It lends credit to the illusion that there was a real competition between the two. The world cup, to me, is a matter of personal satisfaction for Messi. And maybe you might bring it up in a debate about Messi against Maradona or Pele.
