Colwill will be called up in the summer matches apparently.

I meant his pathetic attempt at wasting time was amateurish .. it’s prob why the ref went on to book three England players for time wasting …

Most teams at least use some discretion when they waste time…
Shaw was the same when he suddenly flopped down on his backside for no reason…

    It’s all about context …
Kane has one of his best games I thought !!

Apart from that embarrassing moment ..

Correct .. Longtime Barca fan and frustrated England supporter ..
I love watching beautiful football .. sadly Barca aren’t doing that and neither are England .. only Arsenal and Napoli play the kind of footie I like ..

I’m hardly the only guy who wants Southgate to be replaced ..

Simply having a different opinion to others is not being a troll …

What’s the point of a forum if you want everyone to share the same ideas / view point

I think they're probably more likely for 2026 really in terms of starting potential. Colwill has a bit more of chance but he's got a lot of uncertainty ahead, he's only 6 starts into his premier league career - going to be hard to break into the army of Chelsea centre backs ahead of him as a regular next seasond. Doesn't help he seems a bit injury prone also.

I think most likely is Maguire will get a loan out somewhere in the summer and be first choice through Euro 2024. Best hope for midfield for the Euro's is probably Mount gets a move to a good club and is used as an 8. Liverpool would be good for him in that respect.

He's not getting into Newcastle's team, they have a better defense than MU.

Ffs we were defending a corner. Kane is integral when it comes to set pieces. What do u want him to do go on the pitch in agony and not concentrate properly

Tito it’s very easy to want the world but in practice it’s very hard to get there.

I’d love us to play free flowing football all the time, but we aren’t Brazil of the 1970s, it’s an emerging side learning to have a bit of steel under pressure against the best. Will take time.

Perhaps a few new players come in and you’ll see a bit more of what you are looking for. Southgate is picking mostly what I’d pick and frankly, the players I’m arguing over aren’t exactly assured of selection let alone a starting XI place so it’s much of a muchness.

One of Newcastle’s top target’s in the summer is apparently McTominey !!
Eddie Howe reckons there’s a seriously good player in there ..

Who are we to argue ?

Well if Bayern’s people have to bottle to sack their manager ( last night ) I don’t see why our spineless guys can’t do the same

From what I gather from his posts, Spain holding Morocco to a 0-0 draw and going out the world cup with 77% possession and 1 shot on target, is TitoTata's version of Brazil 1970. I don't think even the most anti-Southgate England fan wants what Tito claims to be good football.

Because he is the most successful England manager since Ramsey, and who by the way just managed to win an important match away to Italy, that all his colleagues have been unable to do before.
As for Nagelsmann, he had just lost an important game against Leverkusen, and he had a bad relationship with his players, plus they had the man the club wanted to replace him.
None of this is true of Southgate, so it's obvious that a normal person would not even consider sacking him. So the question is, are you insane or are you just deliberately annoying everyone?

    Stop making nonsense up

Good football is currently Arsenal and Napoli as I said just a few posts ago

If you can’t appreciate the football those two serve up week after week then you deserve Southgate

    Hussar

    Success is winning something. ..

He like all his predecessors get us through the qualifying stages but falls at the crucial hurdles time after time

Last night was actually a perfect snap shot of his time in charge ..

Decent first half then we we are 2:0 up he loses his nerve and we get that second half performance as he’s tactically inept

To add insult to injury we aren’t even getting the best out of the fabulous talented group of players at his disposal

    Success for us is relative.

Remove the mental barriers. Beat the big teams regularly, that should lessen the chip we have on our shoulders. We are aiming to do that, this cycle.

We've got a semi final and final, we know we can get there, it's now about beating the big teams every single time so it's ingrained we are better than them and not the other way around.

We have to learn, teams don't just show up and it's a talent parade where the best team with the most talent wins, that's nonsense.

Last night was a blessing, things went wrong, he got some things wrong, against Italy who we have a worse record than ANYONE ELSE in international football history, and we won away from home with 10 men and missed a sitter. We soaked up a lot of pressure, whether the crowd and storm, took some shots, sure, but won.

I was delighted. Shame people can't see that though.

He’s still making the same mistakes / misjudgments though … he’s learnt nothing from the last two competitions .

Against France he actually did learn. We played on the front foot but kane bottled a penalty. Southgate can't control that. First half was the best I've seen us play. Second half was old Southgate

Theres always an excuse or something. We've got a Perfect #9! With an awfully young but GREAT Squad! Look at other nations they lack depth in multiple positions or are too old but just fulfilling a position (Unless its Portugal) Now had we beaten France i think they were vulnerable and we couldve won the World Cup but only beating France wouldve catapulted us into a different mentality

Yes we do get sloppy, 2nd half we were just on the pitch because we have to be there haha but i mean we were missing alot of big names so did italy miss 2-3

I know this won't happen but Maddison needs to start in midfield with rice and Bellingham tomorrow.
That, for me would be our best midfield 3 and offer us a lot going forward.
Knowing Southgate though, he'll probably opt for Henderson or Phillips again.

Unfortunately you’ve probably got more chance of winning the lottery…..Southgate has his favourites and will stick by them and despite Maddison being in the squad, he’s not one of his favourites.

Reece James and Chilwell should start. He's likely to start Henderson with rice and Bellingham further forward

Exactly. I think we'd stand a real good chance of winning a tournament if they were our midfield 3 but like you say, Southgate will stick with his favourites.
