I’m sort of curious if he’s on any sort of minutes restriction.

Only 4 out of the 23 in a second division (the Championship). 11 players in Top 5 leagues.

It took 4 guesses to find which streaming service was broadcasting this thing in English. Ridiculous.

This is how a team plays when they all have experience like this in environments like this.

For decades USA fans expected this without having the experience and skilled players. Experience is also important, not just club name.

The respect the ref is giving us is shocking also. More changes than folks understand. This is real.

It's been good, especially considering how packed Grenada is through the middle. Really opening up the wings.

Would like to see more on the right but hard to complain lol

What’s ridiculous is that you didn’t simply Google it instead of randomly opening apps till the right television show appeared.

I think that's probably close to what we get, but I'd rather see Booth than Aaronson...
Oh and no way Turner isn't starting again.

Turner is our clear #1 and barely plays for Arsenal, why wouldn't we want him to get another game?

theres a balance you want to find between propping guys up who arent playing at all with their club (dest is in the same boat) and playing the guys who are playing and doing well.

our last three against els have been 1 goal matches and a draw- for me propping guys up time is over this go round.

also, steffen played more (with better results) than turner has when he was at city and absolutely no one was throwing out that logic so im just not super interested in it now.

I know some are mad at Reyna, but I run him out again.

    -------Pulisic--------------Dike---------------Zendejas
    ----------------------------Reyna--------------------------
    ---------------Musah--------------McKennie-----------
    ---Jedi-----------Ream----------Miles--------Dest---
    ----------------------------Turner--------------------------

Let's go up 3 at half and then get Sonora and Ddorje some run in the 2nd.

It’s not a matter of being “mad” or not, its looking at the product on the field against a minnow and saying “yeah, this guy is not ready”, which is clear. He was the US’ worst player against mighty Grenada and did not find his way into the game.

It comes off as strikingly similar to the infamous loafing in the scrimmage in Qatar. He did not learn from that and having him in the team may start to cause problems. If Hudson is a coach worth anything, he will sit Reyna just like Berhalter did.

This is Hudson’s first test. Either sit the immature player who is wasting everyone’s time or play him and risk pissing guys like Pulisic off further.

Aaronson was better? Really? Besides one shot, how?

It really doesn't matter what Hudson thinks, obviously.

    1) you could tell that Aaronson was on the field
    2) Aaronson scored a pretty nice goal
    3) Aaronson communicated well with his teammates and contributed defensively

You could say none of those things for young Reyna.

There’s plenty of time for him to get his mind and his feet right, but he’s not there right now.

i expect we will see something close to this:

    ________steffen________
    _____miles____ream_____
    dest_______________jedi
    _____musah____ldlt_____
    ________mckennie_______
    zendejas________pulisic
    __________dike_________

as i was saying earlier im all for giving our proven guys minutes with the nats when they arent getting it with their clubs where we can, but i go steffen here for sure. and honestly id go scally over dest, too, but the grenada match showed hudsons hand there.

i think we have underperformed (and been badly outcoached) against el salvador lately, but they are still a much better team than genada. so i think a somewhat close(r) to "first team" is warranted here- if for no other reason than establishing and maintaining a winning mentality over a results needed mindset.

aaronson makes it tricky to predict though, cause he could be at any of the cm spots or on the wing again. we could see johnny as a pseudo-6 but hes not really any more suited to that than anyone else here.

i think we are set up well to send out a strong, rotated team with aaronson, reyna and pepi where needed, along with johnny, scally, booth etc so we dont put too many minutes on anyone without a drastic drop in quality. id give hudson a solid A for the first match, and hope he gets it as right again monday.

I saw a bunch of halfassery out there. Halfassery was one of the reported problems Gio had in the scrimmage.

I also saw that his teammates recognized the halfassery and didn’t get him the ball. That begat more halfassery and maybe even quarterassery to eighthassery.

At some point Gio needs to take his halfasseries and add them together. Either we get wholeassery or just assery.
