With better luck, no boycott & proper coaching decision in every WC, this is the number of WC we would have won
Watching the highlights again, the foul on Dybala was clear penalty. However its even better that we won it 2-0 without needing that.
I think when most kids go back to school on Monday, they will do this celebration to the chagrin of every teacher and will earn a 0 for the day.
That was as blatant a pen as you will ever see, as you say it didn't matter, but if it had been given and Messi had converted, the free kick goal would have been his 100th goal for the NT. Never mind, he can get that in the next game.
Sort it out FIFA. 2030 Mundial in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile. A real festival of football. Hope conehead agrees.
Well Penaldo has to pad his stats out. Another penalty and goal against the might of Lichtenstein. My home town has three times the population of that country.
He'll be in the start of the qualification cycle. But the time is for the likes of Enzo, Mac, Palacios and the kids behind them to be given their rein. Like Barranechea before Mancini decides to adopt him as well. We've got central midfielders coming out of our ears. Same with Otamendi. Great servant. Still playing at a high level. Hopefully a CL with Benfica as well but Licha plus Romero, Perez, Medina, Balerdi, Amione is a very strong corps. Perez and Medina should get big moves this summer and Amione from Samp.
Paredes has hardly had any playing time at Juve, perhaps he needs to look to join a club that is a level below PSG, Juve, so that he at least can be a starter week in, week out. He's 28 but he's actually not played that many games as a starter during his entire career, although he has had a wondeful career. Maybe now is just the time to concentrate on being a starter.
Beautiful Pure joy for the Argentina squad and supporters 😍 pic.twitter.com/D4boEz1PTi— Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) March 24, 2023
We can never get over with it. We need to get our momentum with this and march ahead to win more glories.
He's under-appreciated, more like hated by his own clubs fans ( but let's not forget both psg and juve fans are scums ) even when performing at immaculate levels in the CL simply because he has this vibe and he looks like the guy who would steal your girl. The reality is Paredes>> Veratti.
Perhaps, but when the same thing keeps happening you need to look at yourself, my own view is he should go to a club like Villarreal, or of that ilk, might not be the biggest but you get to play all the time. But, at the end of the day what the hell do I know
Most people might not realize this, but here's Messi first penalty in U20 WC final 2005... 17years later, he repeated the penalty in WC final, same result.
He can scores 250 but without the WC trophy, he would still come up short when being compared to Messi. Messi has 10 goals contribution in a single WC (2022) while CR has 10 goals contribution across 5 WC (2006-2022). To put it simple, CR has always been non-factor in WC. He only shined in a single game , against Spain in 2018, and this Spain team cant even beat Morocco and Russia lol.
Lionel Messi & co singing last night: “A minute of silence for… France, they are dead.” pic.twitter.com/NvVtscmp1X— Get French Football News (@GFFN) March 24, 2023 French and psg fans in shambles
I'm not even an Argentine, but everytime I watch this team and their fans, I've always feels I'm 120% supporting the right team
French fans are the only weak that would get offended by this, most other European fans would smirk and walk it off, then bounce you the next time they meet and deliver the same thumping and banter. Not the french, no, they gotta cry for every little thing. This is why I was rooting for Belgium and Croatia to win the last world cup, it's best the French just stay at 1.
I hope the next Euro would be won by first timer like Croatia or Belgium. I dont mind Greece winning their second Euro though.
Croatia and Belgium reached their peak with their current generation, I think they have older players and will be going through transitional period. I doubt they'll have impact going forward, as the younger players from the stronger nations come up (ie. Germany, Spain, Netherlands, France)
