More Frenchman? Seeing as how 2 Frenchman were responsible for the loss against Leverkusen (a bit unfair, I know), you really want Bayern to be out of the running for the Meisterschale? (More Frenchman = worse defensive performance),
I'm trolling, I think 1BL is 100% pathetic for their French obsession based on nothing but they have pro exp faster as Ligue 1 is lower level. and vast majority of Frenchies in 1BL are nothing special too. I still recal 2 posters in here making huge fit because I said that I only see 1 handful of Frenchies in 1BL as good players rest meh, LMAO. if one pays attention the success of Frenchies in 1BL is really based on them fitting the physicality and speed requirements of the league. its also funny how only Dortmund Penglish have done well in 1BL, the rest aren't. And so many flops UK players in 1BL-2BL over past 5 years. Then again, we are seeing how Sancho is struggling in EPL too, LOL. and when you see bunch of them who leave 1BL bomb, just hilarious.
WTF, I'm not huge on Nagelsmann as he's pretty arrogant but why sack him?? BREAKING: Julian Nagelsmann has been sacked with immediate effect [@BILD] pic.twitter.com/GvBn3mUfGC— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) March 23, 2023 every single time, Bayern L or D, there are questions to sack him that Brazzo and Hainer and Kahn all deny saying they plan long term with him.....
🚨 Thomas Tuchel is expected to be appointed as new Bayern coach before the game against Borussia Dortmund. Everything is in place. Only the signature is still pending [@georg_holzner, @kicker] pic.twitter.com/c8lRh2bzdR— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) March 23, 2023
Everyone was very critical of Bayern when they gave Nagelsmann a 5-year contract because the last coach to remain at the helm for 3 or more years was Hitzfeld from 1998 to 2004. Now they’ll have to pay him a hefty compensation. Complete morons. The more money they lose, the better for Dortmund but the disparity is still enormous.
That is a shocking decision. Done really well in the champions league so far, top of bundesliga with Dortmund!
Nagelsmann cost 25m to sign, a world record for a coach and only ended up lasting less than 2 seasons into a 5 year contract, so will receive a substantial pay off. So turning out very expensive for Bayern.
When Tuchel moved to Chelsea, he had an instant positive impact. This is very bad news for Dortmund and Man City.
This is my biggest worry, that Tuchel's arrival results in Bayern rebounding and winning their 11th BL title in a row.
In Tuchel’s first season with Dortmund in 2015/16, they posted the second best Bundesliga season by a non-Bayern team in league history with 78 points and a +48 goal differential (behind only Dortmund's title-winning 11/12 season with 81 points). This is also the best season of any runner up in league history. It’s not looking promising for BVB. Last season it was their worst Bundesliga point total since 2011/12 and this season they are on course for their worst total since 2010/11. I wonder why Nagelsmann lost so many points against crap teams. Maybe there was too much emphasis on pressing, not enough on creativity.
thanks to the French Ds, Nagelsmann got fired, LMAO. although its really stupid that he got fired because he allowed Dortmund to catch up....I mean so basically firing a coach based on crying about league standing in a league you always win? Instead of obsessing about 1BL try to win more CLs. And firing him end of season would have made more sense. Bayern is also unprofessional club, firing someone while they are in a skiing trip and plotting behind his back with new successor. Nagelsmann only foud out from media too. That they got Tuchel (who's been living in Munich for awhile) same day shows that they were doing all of this behind his back.
Fireing Nagelsmann at this point is beyond stupid. This is damaging brazzo and kahn if it doesn't work out for them. Why are they so nervous??
While I am beyond disappointed I have to say I am not surprised and i dont think many Bayern fans would be surprised either, you always had the feeling he was always 1 bad loss away from being sacked. While he is a great tactician and I have no doubt he is a great coach and will only get better with experience, He clashed with a lot of the players and while rumors were circling about him losing the dressing room while probably exaggerated there was some early signs of it. If you believe the rumors only Kimmich was behind him 100% while other senior players werent too happy with 1) Him being the center of attention in the media 2) The way he sacked Tapalovic which pissed few players off especially Neuer 3) Became clear that Müller was going to be a sub and likely driven out of the clubat the end of the season which was always going to cause issues for Nagelsmann Unfortunately coaches who try to lead "changing of the guards" at Bayern or any other big club with big personalities in the dressing room just never survive (Doesnt help he is younger than the players they are trying to push out). Again, while I am disappointed about his sacking because I think if given the time and space to phase out the older players he would have grown into the role and commanded respect and authority from the players and management, I understand why the club thought they had to act now. Personally I would have waited till the end of the season to see if Klopp was going to be available, however, the reports out of England and Spain linking Tuchel to the Tottenham and Madrid jobs forced our hand and the management felt like they had to act rather than wait for Klopp who could stay at Liverpool ( I actually think he will leave so we should have held our nerves but I understand why they didnt want to take that risk)
If you believe few insiders they wanted to wait till the end of the season to see if they can get Klopp and Tuchel was going to be plan B. Tuchel being linked to the Tottenham and Madrid jobs forced their hand and they basically had to act now. This doesnt look good for Kahn and Brazzo regardless of the outcome. They were supposed to be the new generation leading the club and both believed their hand picked coach that we poached and had to pay 20 mil for was "the new era of Bayern", but going back to our preferred candidate from 2018 (before he went to PSG) tells you all you need to know about who is still in charge at Bayern.
I do feel like Bayern have a great chance of winning the CL this season the way they've been performing up till now, would been pretty nice to see a 4th different German coach in 5 years lifting the trophy. I wonder where Nagelsmann will go next, Real? EPL? Back to Hoffenheim?
