Messi will FOREVER be regarded as the better player between him and Penaldo. When people talk about the GOAT Penaldo won’t even be in the conversation. No amount of goals in the Saudi League will ever change that. So basically we don’t even have to troll you. It’s just always gonna be there, rubbing in your face. Now go cry yourself to sleep.
I guess Roberto Martinez is, too. Or he's trolling you Portuguese supporters. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/64988333
Helmond Cup update: Bayer Leverkusen 2:1 Bayern Munich Next: Saturday 1 April Bundesliga, 26. Spieltag Schalke : Bayer Leverkusen
PSG's lead in the table has been cut to 9 points. No wonder why their spoiled supporters are pissed off.
IMO, they have every right to boo. Dumped out of the French cup to their bitter rivals and also out of the CL early with a whimper (can't blame it on a tough draw when you finish behind Benfica in the group phase). Their league position is not in jeopardy but really, they shouldn't be losing so many matches there either when its all they have left to play for.
Reminder, Barcelona Women play at Roma today in the Champions League quarterfinals (1 PM Pacific, 4 PM Eastern). Bayern host Arsenal at 10:45 AM/1:45 PM today. Both are the first of two legs. Tomorrow Lyon host Chelsea in the early match (same time), and PSG host Wolfsburg (in the late match). Barca should be favored but then could face Lyon in semis if both advance. Lyon drubbed Barca in the final last year.
Barca up 1-0 at the half. They seem to be in control, outshooting Roma 14-1 and 72% possession. This is in Rome, as you state.
Yeah, Barca secured a road win, but Roma had a few good chances in the 2nd half, so happy enough to win and return home, but it could've easily been 0-3 to Barca at halftime or even 1-1 at the end when Roma were briefly the more attacking club. Barca totaled 30 shots! 11 on target, but faced a keeper who made some nice saves. Today, Chelsea beat Lyon on the road 0-1. So both Barca and Chelsea will hope to return home and complete the job. I feel better about Barca's chances to do so, though Chelsea drew more saves 3-2 plus scored the goal. If Barca does they will meet the winner. On the other side of the bracket Bayern beat Arsenal 1-0, and currently PSG and Wolfsburg are scoreless at halftime.
Deschamps gives the captaincy to Mbappe and Griezmann throws a fit. Circus in the French NT continues. It's amazing that they were a split second away from a consecutive WC title with a decapitated team along with all the internal drama.
Wonder what happened. I really doubt Bayern sacked him due to the team’s performance in the league, while they’re doing very well in the CL. Maybe, Nagelsmann is the person behind the tactic leaks? https://www.skysports.com/football/...head-coach-with-thomas-tuchel-to-be-appointed
Sure, but CL is weird in that it only takes one bad game to turn your entire season into a disaster if you aren't taking care of business on the domestic front. I mean, we'll see. Bayern can still turn this into an historically great season but my money is on City to beat them, and even if Bayern get past them they'll probably choke against Madrid like always.
Mbappe putting a public statement on his takeover of the captaincy from Griezmann. What a power trip ... The captaincy has become an ego trip for certain players to put it on their stat sheet.
After watching that speech from Mbappe during 2022 WC final, he deserves it. He’s more captain material.
