if we took a starting 11 here in Big Soccer against the Mexican Mediocre Team, I have no doubt we would put up a good fight. Eventually probably loose 1-0 or hell even tie 1-1.Thats how pathetic these guys play.

I think that fans get frustrated more than anything. This Mexican National team gets the most support ($$) than any other team in the world (right up there with the Dallas Cowboys as I mentioned in an earlier/different post) en dólares. I think it’s ok que les exigían a worthy product.
Chill-aquiles. I believe knowing what does not work is as valuable as knowing what does. At a minimum the players, their supporters and anyone constantly advocating for them to be in the starting 11; just lost the "they never get minutes" excuse as part of an argument. Also what better game to do this? Some of the players have potential, some are usually good (e.g. Charly), some had an unusually off night (Kevin A.). Who learns or gains anything from Chucky/Jimenez scoring 5 or more on, wait for it, Suriname?? Not worried (yet) about Cocca, had he started all the experienced guys and still played like this, then I would be concerned, but even then, first freaking game. /p

I get that Antuna makes mistakes as do many others on our elite team but Lainez, that dude, I have watched play more and more in Tigres and he just isn’t it. Not even over Antuna. Actually, Jimmy Lozano, one of our Mexican coach hopefuls benched Lainez for Antuna. Lainez is a prime example of inflado. 4 years and only 2 full matches played? That deserves a call up?
Why does Charly get a pass? He’s been ass on the seleccion…in fact arguably worse than Antuna. Charly no tiene el nivel para estar ahi.
I hope it was just a bad game but Alvarez looked really bad. Araujo looked way better. Have high hopes for Julian
I’ve liked Julian Araujo since Tata first brought him on the team. Dude has speed and defends & goes on the offense very well. He should have been at the World Cup Then again Tata’s dumbass left off a handful of players that should have been in Qatar and brought useless chumps that shouldn’t have been there in the first place
I’m glad Charly and Lainez are finally getting the heat they deserve. Everyone’s so focused on Antuna and Piojo that they always leave the other two out. It’s troubling though that we have 5-6 guys in there that are arguably not NT. That tells me there’s not enough coming out of the pipeline to push these guys out.
