what's weird is he's regarded as one of the top managers, but he really isn't. his record in Euro comps is (IIRC) one game won. one game. his career consists of: arrive big, insist on spending a ton of cash on proven players, whip them into doing things his way ..... and flame out. no youth (or any player) development, and if the cash doesn't show up and get spent how we wants, he fails and is gone. rinse and repeat.

He set records and won manager of the month, season multiple times. But he doesn't understand how to win cups mostly.
