I'm a realtor so I went to my brokerages office the other day and asked if you do fax because somebody asked me to fax some docs over. The men looked at me and said nobody does faxes anymore if you have to send a fax use the skin to fax app but if anybody's acting effects documents they can't be a real buyer. I never felt so dismissed in my life. She literally chuckled.
Just to be clear, I didn't engage in discussion because I am challenging your position. I was only trying to point out that debt being a part of a bid isn't necessarily a bad thing. If course other factors need to be considered but I can see how a bid with debt could work. I am not against the Qatari bid because they are Qatari and I am not for SJR because he is called Sir. I am not versed on all aspects of all the bids* but from the little that I have heard and read, the Qatari bid seems to be strongest right now. I am fine with that. *Now I am hearing that some bids didn't make it in??? I'd love for us not to be a clown show just once ffs
So there is a bid with fans buying 50% and having votes on all club and football matters. I'm glad this is happening. I need to be preoccupied with something throughout the international break
the idea of no debt after 17/18 years of this shit is a pipe dream for something on this scale of cost. to even have an option of no debt is a miracle. better get used to the debt option. as for plans to do anything with the stadium etc. they are all high level so far and none of these bids are final anyway. round 3 should tell us more
https://www.skysports.com/football/...ir-jim-ratcliffe-and-ineos-submit-revised-bid no Qatari bid as yet
If this is following the “auction” / preferred bidder route (ie BAFO - best and final offer and all that fluff), then likely you would want to submit last if you have access to some dodgy info on others bid amounts. Just sayin’
I’ve been coming here to visit this thread like it was a summer transfer thread 10 years ago. Lol. Exciting times possibly ahead (before the letdown).
I didn't think you were. If it came off that way, that wasn't my intention. I genuinely did want to hear what you though about it because I've gone back and forth. Turns out my personal greed and desire for United to be good outweighs my moral high ground.
That will get laughed at by the Glazers. It's a PR stunt more than an actual bid. If you read their details, they say they value the club at 3.9 billion which we know wont be taken seriously. And their whole using an app to vote on all club business would be a disaster. Most fans (and people in general) are morons who you don't want making club decisions. We'd be bankrupt in a year when they vote to spend 300 million on Neymar.
Keegan is reporting Qatari second bid is in, but both his and Ratcliffes bid are still well short of the figure needed to sell. Also says they could be removed before next round of bidding. FFS would that just leave minor investors?
This is the greed they talk about in the bible. I hope fans cancel their season tickets en masse in protest.
lmfao People are actively campaigning for QATAR OWNERSHIP and you expect them to cancel season tickets? And you all call me naive/idealistic...
In fairness, only Chaz says that. I like Chaz, but I wish he indulged our stupidity more like J'can just did. Calling people naive just gets boring sometimes. Indulge it and the fun times will roll. Jim Morrison told me that by the way.
@Deadtigers Messi securely faxed Barcelona he was quitting. I mean I knew Barca were broke, but to be still be using fax machines... How I imagine Messi left Barcelona:
