According to a court affidavit, a call threatening California Congressman John Garamendi was traced to 32-year-old Neil Matthew Walter's number. Walter is accused of leaving a voicemail for the congressman Nov. 3, saying, "John. Hey John. You’re gonna die John. You’re gonna die." First the funny part. There is an adult human named Shemy Schembechler. Unfunny part. He got fired from UM for liking racist crap. In one screen-shot post from January, Schembechler liked multiple messages defending Jim Crow laws. In another, he liked a post associating House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries with African tribal imagery. It sounds like part of Schemy's problem is that he's had a string of make-work, money-for-nothing jobs because of his family connections. He'd likely still be an idiot if he'd had real jobs, but he'd be more likely to be busy enough not to be drool-scrolling on Twitter all day.
This makes me think. Has anyone here ever listened to a solo track of Mark Knopfler's vocals? I'm going over So Far Away in my head and it's not compelling at all. But the song works somekindaway.
I have a rather stupid story involving Bo Schembechler many years ago. My first job, that I held through high school and some college, was as a parking attendant at the Pistons old arena. The day Schembechler died, there was a Pistons game happening. I'm working that game, I'm yet again stuck in the VIP lot for some reason. This old man pulls up, asks if he can park, when I ask for his VIP pass and tell him he needs one to get in, he goes on a bizarre rant about Bo Schembechler and how it was a sad day and so on. Just rambling to the point that even Abe Simpson would be aghast at this man's ramblings. I had some strange experiences at that job, but that one remains in my brain.
