I'm sure this whole controversy would go away if they would hire Claudio as USMNT coach! :whistling:

Good lord, this makes my posts sound like I am defendind Blatter. ;)

What I'm m saying is that Blatter was Euro-centric and decided that was the b
Most important part. Infantino is not, so the corruption is being passed off as general bidding and other similar ideas. And I would say he sees money in the women's game, but not respect. FFS, he's entertaining Saudi Arabia as the lead WWC sponsor.

But, neither really can hold a candle to Joao.

These young people act like they don't know that FIFA's president is supposed to be corrupt. It's written in the FIFA constitution.

Fifa admits defeat over Saudi sponsorship of Women’s World Cup

Fifa has admitted defeat over plans to make Visit Saudi a major sponsor of this year’s Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand after a huge backlash from organisers and players.

At the their congress in Kigali, Rwanda, Gianni Infantino, the Fifa president, said: “I can clarify that there were discussions with Visit Saudi. At the end this discussion didn’t lead into a contract. How do you say it? It was a storm in a water glass. A storm in a teacup.”

In all likelihood, a different company will rent naming rights before we need to host a crucial qualifying match there. But if I'm wrong, I can see Mexico (or Costa Rica. Or Honduras. Or Canada) objecting to FIFA about playing in a venue with that name.

Yes, the credit union name is unfortunate. They have been a good & reputable credit union, but it was founded in 1939 at Ft. Douglas (the one that was set up to watch over the Mormons) by federal employees. No denying its roots. Plus Utah has always been super racist

They've also been significant sponsors of the team from the get go. The practice field had been America First Field for almost 15years.

AND....... They have a convenient location next to me, so I bank with them.

This whole thing is on the Reynas. Berhalter hasn't managed his way out of a job. The USSF should hand it back to him on a platter.

Assuming USSF has an HR dept & knowing how absolutely shitty HR depts are, I'd be lawyering up & threatening to sue them into 1970s USSF oblivion.

Agree on the Reynas, but his coaching should be evaluated on its own merit. And I don’t think he’s shown enough to deserve a second cycle. Though I’m fine with him shepherding the team until they find someone better.
