I've noticed this recent and increasing tactic of comparing drag to black face - marek did it in these threads a month or two ago.

It is easily debunked if anyone thinks about it for any length of time (which of course they don't, they just want a good sound bite). All those drag queens impersonating Cher, Liza, Madonna, Christina, etc. aren't doing so to mock their beloved icons but to honor them. Those stars do not see the drag queens as insulting or mocking them. It is only these Christians who do, these very same Christians who not so coincidentally denigrate gay people to begin with and, of course, have really set their targets on trans people. They make no significant distinction between a transwoman and a drag queen.
