Lobotka has officially extended through June 2027, with a team option through June 2028. https://sscnapoli.it/la-ssc-napoli-...del-contratto-di-lobotka-fino-al-giugno-2027/ So that contract might even go until he retires.
The "Mbappe formula" PSG used. Loan with obligation to buy move so they don't have to pay until next season, and then divide it over many seasons. It's BS that they still allow this.
Annoying. I haven't seen the kid in much action other than highlights, but he's the next big deal out of Brazil and we were allegedly favorites at one point to land him.
Don't think Osimhen is a lock to be sold this summer. Attempting to read into the way he speaks about us, if a good offer comes from a top club - he'll likely go, but he won't just be put for sale for anyone. Unless it's Man United or Chelsea, he isn't heading to England. Only PSG can afford him outside of England. Don't be shocked if he stays even if it does seem like he'll be on his way.
https://le10sport.com/football/mercato/mercato-180meur-ce-transfert-ne-fait-pas-peur-au-psg-637868 I'm actually not worried about this article. PSG's supposedly buying everyone right at this minute, and allegedly the vault is wide open.
Probably because experience has taught them that FFP won't be enforced with more than a token fine. The idea that two of our players could go for top 5 transfer fees in June is incomprehensible to me. The market is completely effed right now.
Since the moment Osimhen came to Napoli, he said it was his dream to play in the premier and he reiterated it again this year. Best case scenario is that he stays at Napoli for at least another season but he will be sold at some point. Both Chelsea and Man U need a CF. Chelsea spent a stupid amount of money this transfer window and very much overpaid for talent. If Enzo Fernandez is worth 120, Osimhen is worth how much? Even people who hate Serie A concede that Osimhen is the real deal. It would be great for Osimhen to stay at the club for years and become a legend, but fans need to be realistic. We cannot compete with the bigs of Europe on salaries. Osimhen is going to make 10,12+ million a season. We cannot afford that
Can Chelsea afford Osimhen's transfer fee this summer if they miss out on UCL after all they've spent? Man United is really the only team I can see seriously making a play for Osimhen and they may just go and target Harry Kane. I'm under no illusions, I don't think Osimhen will spend his entire career with us but he's still so young. Hypothetically, he could spend another 3-4 years with us and try to achieve something truly special with Kvara and STILL go to the Premier League in his late 20's with quite a few years left to go.
I know Chelsea’s new owner has money but how much they have to spend I have no idea. The two teams that keep coming up are Man United and Chelsea. Osimhen’s contract expires summer 2025. So at minimum we have him next season too. But then comes the nightmare scenario of Victor not wanting to sign a new contract which is very possible. Like I said, we cannot compete with what the bigs of Europe can offer. So Osimhen’s future has to be decided. Both Milan teams Have lost out in recent years. Milan with Hakan, Kessie and Dollarumma and now Inter with Skriniar. ADL to his credit is a shrewd in these situations. Osimhen’s form is a blessing and a curse
Can't blame Osi if he goes to double his weekly salary in the EPL. ADL can't afford his renewal so he will be sold before that. Problem is the price might come down by next 2024 off season if injuries or contract disputes come to the forefront. That's why I wouldn't be shocked if he's gone after this campaign when his price is at it's peak.
If we win the champions league, i think he'll go. He'll have won everything he could here, and his price will be sky high after that
I still struggle to see where the interest will actually come from ... Man City, Arsenal, Newcastle, and Liverpool have all recently spent big money on a striker just last summer. Chelsea have spent a crazy amount of money and won't be in the UCL, will they be able to spend another 120+ on just 1 player? I find that hard to believe.. Especially if they end up signing Joao Felix, they also have Nkunku who will join the squad in the summer too. Bayern, Real Madrid, nor Barca can afford the fee. It will have to be PSG or Manchester United and who's to say they don't go after someone else because of the price? I know they CAN afford it but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be willing to meet that fee rather than going for other players. If Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe stay, I can't see PSG making a play for Osimhen as it'd force one of those 4 to start from the bench every game. Man U may be the only real contender for him and why wouldn't they target that young striker on Benfica who would be cheaper? Or Kudus from Ajax. I think I would be more surprised if Osimhen left just because of the striker situations of teams who can afford him.
Messi's contract is up this summer. If he wants to stay it sounds like the manager wants him back (who wouldn't? he's still in form). Neymar could be hard to move (ruled out for the rest of the season due to his injured ankle) and he's still under contract for another two seasons. The most revenue any team takes in is in the 700m EUR range (Man City, Real Madrid), and those teams spend 250m on player and coach salaries. FFP/FSR is moving to transfers+salaries as a % of revenue (90% for next seasons then 80% then 70%) as one of the metrics. Once they actually phase in, no one playing by the rules will be able to spend 180m on a single player because they've got other roster needs to fill. If they're going to pull the trigger it has to be now, or they have to pay the fines, and maybe forego using those players in UEFA.
Chelsea might not care and spend still. They might not mind missing out on UCL because of FFP or maybe they think their lawyers can win. IMO PSG sign Osimhen. Messi and Neymar are gone this summer.
We may have found our replacement for Osi or maybe we move more towards a 4-2-4. His name is Gift Orban. From the little I have seen, he's direct, small, mobile, no nonsense type who likes to play off the back of defenders and can score all kinds of goals; acrobatic, volleys, simple finishes, what have you. I haven't really seen much of him and don't know a lot about him, like his movement or how clinical he really is, but his ability is obvious. There will be other teams in for him.
I didn't see this one until today. ADL is saying he will sell Bari if they earn promotion. https://www.tribalfootball.com/arti...entiis-details-serie-a-plans-for-bari-4449471
Loved the part where he said he's trying to equalize the north and the south. I think that's been a pretty big advantage for the northern clubs. Hopefully he's able to find a buyer who aims to keep them competitive in Serie A.
He scores a lot and made a big impression with his hattrick in the Conference League against Basaksehir.
NAPOLI READY TO PART WAYS WITH ZIELINSKI AND LOZANO AMIDST LAZIO INTEREST Piotr Zielinski will not be renewing his current contract with Napoli and instead has been linked with a switch to Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio. The Polish international’s deal with the Partenopei runs until the summer of 2024 although no contact has been made between the club and the player’s representatives over an extension. Zielinski is valued at around €40m by Aurelio De Laurentiis and the Napoli hierarchy, so if they are to receive anywhere close to that sum, they will have to part ways this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year. --------- Lazio are dreaming if they think they can afford Zielinski this summer
