New year let’s get it started.
Hugo is currently trying to get the League to back his plan of mini camps to keep the players in top shape. Also he is pushing for a “tour” of sorts in Asia.

As of this moment only one match is confirmed.
    March 27th
    United States vs. El Salvador
    Location: TBD.

@La Trucha you know what to do good sir.

It was inevitable honestly to much bs going on in the NT for him to stick around.

He lost me when instead of manning up and facing the press after the embarrassing elimination vs Dominican Rep...he went into hiding and let his team face the fire...and then just tweeted way after like a coward.

The press? They’ve shown time and again to be the most useless thing in Salvadoran football. Was I a fan of him ghosting for a bit nope but facing the media wouldn’t have done jack. People would still also lay blame on the players because of this weird sense that they need to be humble also the “should have used homegrown guys.”

CONCACAF changed its qualifies for the WC.

First round is play ins among lowest ranking nations.

Second round were we join will in one of six groups top two of each group advance to the final round.

Round three will be three groups of four, with the leaders qualifying directly while the second place teams head to a playoff. I believe the two best second place advance to that I’m not 100% sure.

Bad turnover by Tamacas lead to him committing the foul which lead to an own goal by Cartagena…

Does anyone else get the feeling that refs just hate ES? Like genuinely, there have been far too many games where all the 50/50s & clear calls have never been in favor of ES. I genuinely believe it was a factor tonight as well. Kind of annoying.

1-0. Final Gil had the best chance to tie it but missed his opportunity.

Overall they moved well but IMO never felt dangerous. I assume the line-up for the US game will have more in the midfield.

Lack of communication up top is frustrating the players.

Overall played decent. Always a good first half effort. Didn’t care for Kevin Reyes on right but I liked what I saw from Leonardo kinda on the smaller side. Still don’t understand changing jairo and tamacas to the left side.

This seems to be the A squad for El Salvador. Mayer could play on the right wing being left footed I notice he will cut/dribble into the side to take shots, but we also have the option for him to play on the left wing. Maybe when Moreno back into full form he could take Enrico spot. How's Larin is he playing worse after he left his club in Guatemala? Brayan would probably need Mayer's speed to keep up with him on the offensive plays. Henriquez could come in for Roldan. What Henriquez lacks is crossing and defending/intercepting ability when needed he tends to gas out after the 1st half. Henriquez on the left wing seems bad too, he tends to be a linear player and doesn't ever try to cut/dribble inside the center to take on shots. Menjivar and Cristian Gil seems to be a good as forward subs.

Jairo is suffering from refusing to pass syndrome which showed in the game last night frustrating his teammates. My concern with Enrico is if he gets muscled out a bit he shrinks he looked really active in the start then slowly tapered off. Alex is wasted being in the back so I think you might need to call up Larin just to fill in a spot and move Alex up keep him on the same side so he can track back if the attack fails the team looked lost once he was subbed out for Nelson. Speaking of Nelson I like the kid but he needs to move up staying in USL League One is not going to help his growth especially since he’s about to hit his “prime years” (currently 23). Landaverde played well so he’s good depth to have maybe look at bringing in Granitto to further enforce that era. Reyes had a horrid game I wonder if that’s why his stint in Armenia was so short?
