Whoa. Fox drops its suit against Grossberg, Grossberg is sticking to her case against Fox.Seems like a major retreat by Fox.And seems like the Dominion lawsuit might really end up doing well-deserved damage to Fox.https://t.co/88gxu5mXeC— Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) March 21, 2023
BREAKING: Former Florida State Rep. Joseph Harding has pleaded GUILTY to wire fraud, money laundering and making false statements. He faces 20 yrs max for first count. Has anyone heard from Stanger or Moishe lately? If anyone knows them off The Bored, do a check in call
ABC News reporting that, in a sealed filing, Judge Beryl Howell agrees the special counsel has presented compelling prima facie evidence that Trump committed a crime in the documents case. Something about power of God to use retched people for noble cause. And the Evangelists will keep on keeping on as his bill served it's purpose.
Stanger pitched in to the California thread concerning golf. Moishe, hasn’t been in here for a good while.
In general it's kind of remarkable how the people who were wrong about climate, iraq, trump, fox etc etc etc [insert major conservative talking point of the last 20 years] never come back to admit they had it wrong - instead it's our fault for being an echo chamber. Almost like it was all bad faith and reality didn't matter.
Don't forget libertarian(s) who told us that the magicians of the free market don't need any govt. oversight whatsoever. Hampers capitalists & their dreams for America. He was always a bad faith actor.
Or maybe they were just the Stuart Stevens type that actually believed the ideology not realizing that 90% of the room was just there for the racism and bigotry and all the bottom of the barrel stuff.
They all know what it's about. When they say that racism would've died of natural causes because Capitalism, they show their cards.
I didn't know whether they had some kind of extra appeal. Those voices... lol FWIW, Saturday Night Fever dropped between 8th and 9th grade, then Donna Summer rose to fame... disco infected pretty much everything for about half a decade.
McConnel has basically disappeared for 2 weeks w/almost no update on his medical condition and the media's just like "he's fine, nothing to see here." Hillary caught pneumonia during the 2016 campaign and it was a week-long scandal. https://t.co/UF51aCPi46— scary lawyerguy (@scarylawyerguy) March 22, 2023
Right I think Anne Applebaum has the best take on this. The reason why Tucker and co abandoned their neoliberalism is because being a successful neoliberal is hard. You have to have policies, win elections and get your legislation implemented etc etc Then they realised they could just use the power of the state to punish their enemies and implement the white nationalist agenda.
That is why i find David French interesting - as he was one of those people, then came to realise it was all nonsense. In a recent Bulwark interview he explained how he changed his view on a lot of things when Trump base and politicians went MAGA He is basically one of the homeless conservatives
They thought the Racism was a by-product that was not central to the appeal of conservatism. MAGA has shown that was the main appeal all along. What's worse is they really pulled a Dr. Frankenstein and I thought they could keep the monster under control and keep using the votes for power never believe in the monster could get out and lead the party.
MI GOP basically showing who can crazy. Michigan Republican Party this morning is likening legislation requiring criminal background checks for gun buyers, safe storage of weapons and a red flag law allowing a judge to take away guns from people deemed dangerous to Nazi Germany’s extermination of Jews in the Holocaust. https://t.co/AdUEdIN9kV— Chad Livengood (@ChadLivengood) March 22, 2023
