"Happy lock him up day to you Happy lock him up day to you Happy lock him up day dear Donald-- Happy lock him up day to youuuuuu-- And many moooore....."
Among the many ridiculous things is that it was the Metropolitan Police (DC police) that had to clear out the Capitol. One of the dumb justifications that have been given over the decades for DC not being a state is that local forces could not be adequate protection for Congress.
Not happening today. He might be indicted tomorrow according to my brother referencing the Daily Mail (Zeus only knows why he'd use that as a source). So keep the champagne chilled.
Something that is memory holed here is Trump always denied he'd paid Stormy but now his defence includes admitting it - so basically he cheated in the '16 election but now the GOP position is cheating like that is no biggie even though they claimed he never did it
So when Songius Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that the people were beginning to fight like hell, he used hand sanitiser before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this man’s blood; see to it yourselves.
My prediction: while the Daniel’s payment will be part of the indictment..the core of the charges will be related to his personal actions/crimes stemming from the Tish James criminal prosecution of the Trump Org.
Oh….and trump is going to die in federal prison unless the country elects a traitorous republican as president in the remaining years of his life NEW: Howell ruled that the DoJ showed sufficient evidence that trump INTENTIONALLY CONCEALED the existence of additional classified documents from Corcoran, and ordered Corcoran to hand over HANDWRITTEN NOTES, INVOICES, AND TRANSCRIPTS OF RECORDINGS. pic.twitter.com/NLoGCs7VdQ— Mueller, She Wrote (@MuellerSheWrote) March 21, 2023
Speaking of Reagan, I read a tweet today about Gary Hart. It was saying that he was set up. He didn't know the girl that was in his lap for the pic and she never said anything was down to her. It was Lee Atwater and company that created it as he was the front runner and a real threat in 84. Also the press didn't like him as he was a bit like Kerry and too clean with no drama until Monkey Business. 84 was too young for me as I was six about to illegally enter the country so I'm asking the wise and sagacious posters (read older) to fill me in. All I know was in 88 there was a don't come back we had enough of Gary Hart song and the movie the Candidate touched on it but I never saw the movie only the trailer and I never read up on it. I assumed it was a legit scandal like Clinton.
Come on, a picture of Trump running away from police officers is about as plausible as a picture of Trump winning the NBA slam dunk contest. You'd think the AI would be smart enough to depict him (say) fleeing in a golf cart instead.
Nah. Hart was hitting it. There may have been some dirty tricks behind the scenes but he was definitely guilty as charged. He was also uniquely unsuited to the moment and he had no idea that people cared more about the National Enquirer shit than they did about his opinions about farm subsidies or whatever.
1987: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2018/11/was-gary-hart-set-up/570802/ Also, there was a lot of rumors about Hart having extramarital affairs prior to the picture coming out. Basically, the meeting of Hart and Rice, being stuck on the ship overnight, and the picture was a set-up. But Hart allegedly called Rice after the boat trip and they, allegedly, actually did have an affair (although both deny it).
Where are the pictures of Trump getting a wood shampoo? I mean, a full-on, Miles Davis-level clubbing from the cops?
