The Arsenal are once again coming across the pond to the United States this summer. To our nation's capital no less.

The gunners will face an MLS All Stars side coached by Wayne Rooney on Wednesday, July 19th in Washington D.C.

Tickets go on sale soon, check the article on Arsenal.com linked below! Who's going?

    1. Apparently you're a bit less superstitious than me

    2. This is gonna be a hard ticket to get I suspect, given that the All-Star game has broad appeal, AND that the stadium only holds like 20K

    3. What's with them announcing the All-Star coach as Wayne Rooney. What if he's sacked by then? ;) And didn't it used to be awarded on merit, i.e. the coach with the best record??

    4. Yesterday's rumors also included that we'll be playing in LA also... perhaps at the KSE jewel venue in Inglewood?

    About what?

Yeah, that seems like a no brainer right there.

Honestly, my biggest issue with it is that it's a mid week game and Its just after my week long summer vacation to the west coast.

I think every year they've come to the U.S., it's either been during my summer vacation or immediately after. I've never seen them on a U.S. tour.

I saw them play the Red Bulls in NYC, that was great. And in Charlotte before COVID. It would be kinda sweet to see THIS squad, in a non Euro/World Cup summer, but I think I'll be ok.

May have to make the effort, sporting my Atlanta jersey with Gunner J on the back.

I'm pretty sure I know what you're referring to, but I'm seeing people say that photo is fake or at least photo-shopped.

    Pray tell!

p.s. With generative AI tools, I feel we may be closing in on an era when photo/video/audio proof will be largely invalid.

He might be mad at Southgate so I don’t blame him

but the drop off after lane is big and he sounds like a London kid rather than one of you so he should wait

Yeah, I posted the original photo that was making its way around Twitter, which most people were saying the badge was fake. But since then, more photos (not of the badge) have been popping up, and I read something that he allegedly went to a dinner with several of the US players.

I take it you're not a fan of Matty Cash playing for Poland. ;)

I don’t care really, I would like to see him for England if he’s good enough and like I said, Toney is literally it after kane

I think he gets a chance if he’s good enough especially when Southgate is done

I guess you're still talking about Balogun for England. And Toney may be facing some sort of longish term ban for his betting exploits?

I don't really expect Flo to play for USA, especially after what he's done at Reims this season, BUT if England drags their heels...

Idk man if you're in the Top 5 goals scored in a Top 5 league and that's not good enough to even get looked at by the senior team...

Maybe the English just don't understand recruiting culture

I am sorry for derailing this thread. Let me say two things:

    1) I am planning to make it to DC.
    2) I am hearing Balogun has chosen the US.

If that is true, your sources must be damn good! Hope you're right, but all I'm hearing/seeing on the Net is speculative, based on him being in FLA, or based on Matt Turner saying how we'd love to have him.

Yeah it hasn’t been made official and it won’t until he files the switch or announces it which could still be a while. But yes hope my sources are correct.
He definitely met with the team
