Rivalry game for sure. Even at the academy level these games are contentious. Come have fun!

But you have to notify your ticket rep ahead of time to get your tickets (or to get on a list), which, in the few times I've gone, I've managed to forget about doing. I think one time they let me in anyway, and one time I just paid anyway.

Just like how there’ll be three California Clásico games for the senior team this season (two home games and one away game) rather than the usual two, there’ll also be three California Clásico games for E2 as well this season (two home and one away). :)

    GO EARTHQUAKES II !!!

I preemptively texted my rep and said I want tix to all the Qii games. Haven’t heard back yet. :)

What's the other option, they're going to make people request them for every game?
These should just automatically show up in the Tickets part of the app, the stadium will be 95% empty in any case...

We have the merchandise discount "ticket" in the app -- they should use something like that. For games at alternate sites, requesting for each one might still be needed.

That's how it worked last year - you requested by game. Seems worth a shot to ask for all the games pre-emptively. I don't know why they're doing this. It disincentivizes people from coming to the games when they might otherwise go and buy something from the concession stand or something or just build more energy around the team by being there.

If they can't do that for a season ticket holder, then to paraphrase Dickens' Mr. Bumble (from a soliloquey every attorney should know):
"the front office is a ass — a idiot."

Considering the senior team’s recent injuries, will some of the E2 players expected to play in this game instead be called up to play the day before?

I wish Q2 had played a USL Championship side or two in their preseason like Monterrey Bay, Sacramento or Oakland. I get why those teams might not want a scrimmage game against a Next Pro team. It’s just difficult to judge the level of play they will be at come Sunday.

I’m also slightly concerned that the Quakes will decide to play guys like Richmond, Skahan, Munie or Agren. While I would understand the logic, they haven’t practiced with the team and that would most likely lead to a disjointed game. I wouldn’t have an issue if Tsakiris plays a few minutes to test his fitness.

I am also wondering if GK Damian Alguera will suit up for the game. If he’s on the game day roster, does that sort of “cap tie” him to San Jose for the season unless he is traded to another team? Last year he was on the Philadelphia Union ll roster but did not appear in a game. The story I heard was he was offered a Next Pro contract but wanted a home grown one instead. He felt the Next Pro contract wasn’t worth losing college eligibility. Since he hadn’t played for their Academy and wouldn’t sign a Next Pro deal he had to be removed from their roster and he ended up at Cal State Bakersfield. He could appear for Q2 as an academy player and still keep his eligibility to play without a contract until he’s 21 if he chooses. He has interesting options he must be thinking about. Emi Ochoa has consistently talked about getting into Liga MX so if the Quakes do trade him there is an opening for a young homegrown keeper.

Two hour tailgate? Better than nothing, I suppose. But the decline of civilization is accelerating. :)

Have to miss this game unfortunately. Short staffed and no one to cover for me. Really glad I can watch later on Season Pass.

Rest of roster will probably be academy kids. A few younger players from first team will likely be loaned down as well. Interesting name for Quake fans is Adrian Gonzalez. He and his older brother Jonathon grew up in the Napa area and ended up recruited to play in Mexico by none other than Dennis Te Klose.
