It’s not like Toronto doesn’t have callups: Toronto FC Ayo Akinola (F, Canada) Mark-Anthony Kaye (M, Canada) Richie Laryea (D, Canada) Jonathan Osorio (M, Canada) Tomás Romero (GK, El Salvador) And they’ll likely not have Insigne and Diamanté, so I’d say we’re in no worse shape than they are. NO EXCUSES!
Wow we are pretty screwed then unless Niko and Judson heal up fast. Thankfully, Espinoza plays for a ridiculously talent deep national team (last played with U20's in 2015), Jebo plays for a national team that doesn't rate him, and Yueill plays for a national team that doesn't rate him anymore.
Since we are very thin at D-mid how about playing a 3-5-2 against Toronto? RCB Agren (or Munie) CB. Mensah LCB.Rodrigues (or Beason) RWB Marie LWB Cowell D-mid Yuiell A-mid Monteiro RW Espinoza CF Jebo LW Benji
I think Montiero is out for national team duty and Rodriguez left injured. Baldisimo would likely be his replacement. I also don't see Cowell and Benji playing at the same time, and Cowell definately does not have the field awareness to play LWB yet. I predict TT at LB and Skahan in Mid. Maybe Tsakiris will be ready (fingers crossed). ----------------------JT Marie--Mensash--Beason--TT Skahan---Yuiell---Baldisimo Espinoza---Jebo---Cowell This is my prediction and it makes me a little sad. I'd prefer to push Beason outside and give Munie a run. I also think Benji over Cowell in his current form.
Yeah, we don't have many options. Looks pretty rough, we are paper thin between injuries and callups.
I told you all so... I told you, I Told you I TOLD you so. A couple injuries and disaster happens. A lineup with Marie, TT, Skahan, Baldisimo, JT, is a real bad day. I don't get the obsession with Agren...
It's the Å -- the overring is instant cool, and if you start dissing people on the spectrum...that's probably most of our board.
I'm on the spectrum. Spectrum of up tight, overly sensitive, angry, often irritated, factious, smart ass, possibly and questionably hardly human, Neanderthal tendencies, constipated, obsessively compulsive and the most bad ass of the the asses... then yes probably applies to most of the board, only the real winners in life avoid THE LIST LMFAOOOO
You guys never heard of 'The Spectrum? Back like 4 years ago when I watched wrestling a guy told someone he was on the spectrum for all those things above as well as a common man pussy.
The spectrum comprises all electromagnetic energy from ELF radio frequencies to ionizing Gamma radiaion. Therefore, EVERYBODY's on the spectrum. It's a truly meaningless term and I wish they'd come up with something else...
If Judson can't go, I think Yueill will flop with Baldi...but I'd rather see Skahan....and Munie from what I've read played some Dmid along with LB in college. He looks like he has adequate pace and he's a defender by trade, so why not run it out on the training ground to see if he has potential to fill in if needed down the road. He's already making the bench as a rookie, so the coaching staff clearly rates his ability. Geoff Cameron, I believe started off as a dmid, played some RB later on...along with his main bag at CB. I'm curious to know how wide Munie's skillset will be.
He's probably inbetween Mike Chabala and Geoff Cameron, hopefully leaning towards Cameron, but Chabala was still very good. Started at D-Mid, moved to right back took Waibel's job. Then moved to left back and took Wade's job in a 3 season stretch and had a decent MLS Career while Cameron had a good MLS, Abroad and International Career. I think Luchi rates Munie, this could be a good opportunity to see what the guy can do.
I saw a rumor elsewhere on social media that EQ asked that Akapo not be called up and that request was granted. )I do not know the source).
The #Quakes74 asked Carlos Akapo to stay and not to travel for the international break. The San Jose Earthquakes will desperately need all the help they can get these next couple of games without Gruezo. #MLSFantasy #MLS #MLSSorare— Favian Renkel (@FavianRenkel) March 20, 2023
Not sure if this was already covered somewhere, but I saw a tweet in Spanish saying Gruezo is not going to nats due to a "muscle" injury - probably hamstring? So regardless we won't have him for a few games, possibly longer. Renkel's tweet references not having Gruezo for a few games but unless I missed it, it's not clear why we won't have him for a few games (is it nats or injury).
