Corruption doesn't mean result manipulation. Let's be honest our whole deal with the city stank of corruption (which is why we had to pay compensation for it), but that doesn't mean we won games because of it.

How do direct payments to somebody get to be called "under the table"? Reason why this topic is relevant now is because of eventual tax issues, the football world is only bothered at the surface level. Laudrup said the payments look bad, but before we can state whether or not there was manipulation, there has to be a look into what Negreira delivered for the payments. Saying, ok they paid the guy so the league has been rigged for over a decade and nobody is doing anything about it is as bad for them as it is for us. Apparently, according to this place the League has been rigged for 15 years or so, but this is also the place that would claim corruption and this is all about the Superleague if content providers and broadcasters would drop La Liga and cease payments to the League because of said corruption. If you want to claim the League is rigged, you act like the League is rigged. If somebody proves that the League wasn't decided on the pitch, this competition drops to Eredivisie tier.
