Real Newark rocked it with Captain Kane with a brace and an assist. Shaw just about matched those 16 points with 15 of his own with a goal and a clean sheet. Two more clean sheets and two more goals and it is solid gold with a score of 83.

Double digits behind was Top Shelf. Captains Mount for the double over Haaland. But that was only good for one match. Willian, the differential of the the double gameweek along with Doherty had 15 and 14 point respectively. Two goals and a clean sheet on top of that is silver medal worthy with a score of 72.

Just a few points behind was FC Epikoinis who ran a back five of Stones, Saliba, Zinchenko, Koulibaly and Perišić. Four clean sheets, a goal and an assist from that grouping. Captain Rashford hit a solid 8 points to get doubled.

Honorable mention goes to blechs_dawgs whose Son matched Rashford but besides Shaw's 15 there were enough duds, ie. Dalut and Walker with single digits, to just be off the mark.

Pararaiders is back with the Spoon with pressure on the Physio Room to get more players on the pitch.

Absolutely maddening Mahrez comes through again! Never knowing when the minute or the goals will come. After 16 weeks of just a goal and an assist comes 3 goals and 3 assists in five gameweeks. One match of course a brace and an assist.

Those 19 points lifted FC Epikoinis to the top of the medal stand after a bronze last weekend. Captain Rashford and a Brighton filled offense and a double Arsenal defense registed enough 5's and 6's to edge past Tangers FC.

For Tangers FC, Mahrez was handed the captain's armband. Nice work. Bailey also starred along with Trippier as one of the two Newcastle defenders, Botman the other. Thirteen clean sheets for Trippier to lead that department along with bonus points.

Bronze was a tie with Top Shelf with another point to extend his lead in the Fantasy Olympics table. Captain Haaland, Rashford and Adams all get a shout out. Also, with 67 points and sharing bronze was Keysersoze Wanderers. Seeing that he captained Jorginho over Fernandes and his 19 points was maybe a leftover from the other gameweek, a backline of Sá, White, Silva and Burn who scored 10, 8, 8 and 9 respectively had to put a smile on the manager's face.

The other two Haalands have to settle for Honorable mention.

The biggest surprise is to see ColdDogSoup FC holding a wooden spoon. Special thanks to Mitrović tripping over himself on his PK or was it a spoon on the ground?

You think with a Haaland hat trick that you would see all of the Haalands here with 17 points doubled but there is only one with a medal.

That goes to All Rocks leader, Borussia Damarcus. Pope and Botman at the back with continuous clean sheets along with Mee and Silva with their getting the clean sheet, six point package, too. Nothing else happening but an Ødegaard assists but when your captain scores every 20 minutes there's no pressure on the outfield players anyways.

Journeymen win silver. They put the faith in Jarred Bowen as captain and were rewarded mightily. 32 points right there. Ødegaard was only considered for the vice captaincy but he did good work to help his Journeymen teammate, Nketiah, get his brace.

Bronze goes to another team with a solid backline that even selects put the captain's armband back there. With Trippier, the bonus magnet, with fourteen clean sheets in twenty-one matches, it is just good sense. Botman is there two for another double Newcastle selection. Clean sheet for Robertson and Ederson along with two assists from Estupiñán is enough for Tangers FC to be back on the medal stand and to win bonze past the other Haaland Sasha Juniors.

Sasha Juniors, again with honorable mention for 64 points this time, can't get the rest of the squad to average more than 3 points after Haaland's 34.

That Haaland still might just be that ticket to Small Rocks one day. Meanwhile, Salah is causing more misery for ColdDogSoupFC. Trying the Mourinho mind game of stripping the captain's armband from last years joint Golden Boot winnner, it instead went to Solly March. Neither player performed well nor did the entire squad. Akanji, liking his Manchester City digs at least garnered a clean sheet to please the gaffer.

It was a great weekend for Rashford and Fernandes owners. It was particularly good for Keysersoze Wanderers who also had Brentford pairing of Mee and Mbeumo with their own double digits along with Gnonto another double gameweek star. Four of the top players of the gameweek and it is gold for Keysersoze Wanderers. Ninth medal for Top Shelf!

BiggerBoat triple captained Rashford. That is 40 of 73 points for silver. Good to know when to triple captain.

Also with Rashford is Top Shelf. Nice to have a solid back up to Haaland. No triple captain so has to settle for bronze. Good enough to extend the lead over Borussia Damarcus in the Fantasy Olympic standings.

Just three points behind Top Shelf is FC Epikoinis also with Rashford also had Mitoma but the rest of the squad looked like Wooden Spoon material with ones and twos.

For the Wooden Spoon it is Sasha Juniors who after two honorable mentions in a row captains double gameweek Antony for a single digit doubled and gets the honorable mention of Liverpool's 3-0 loss to Wolves, Matip with the own goal for a big grab at the spoon.

No Haaland, no triple captain, no problem. Blechs_dawgs did it the old fashioned way. Hard work. Or maybe a combo of Budayo Saka, Grealish and Shaw who all put in command performances. Saka of course with two hits at the piñata. First gold medal for blech this season.

Silver goes to Tangers FC who triple captained Mahrez. Who knew he was going to take the PK? What a blow to Haaland owners across the world. Tangers FC also had the smarts to have Gündoğan and to know when to hold'em. A Xmas day trade for Grealish back in GW 17. Those two haul in 56 of the 79 points to win silver for the week.

Sasha Juniors gets silver with a triple captain on Haaland. Lucky to get that second match in after two scares. One no PK. Two possible injury. Sasha Juniors happy to have him healthy and get bronze. Unfortunately, Tangers FC were their opponent in the Stadler and Waldorf Cup to add insult to add to the Mahrez PK blow.

Just a point behind Sasha Juniors for Honorable Mention were Real Newark and REVEALED: Starboy XI both with DeBruyne.

With the Wooden Spoon with 24 points which makes for grim watching was GameofOhhs. Been there done that maybe just a few days ago.

Two big scoring games for Arsenal and Manchester United look to be the fountain to which to find the medals.

We find two with gold. Both with Manchester United captains. BiggerBoat with Rashford and Lokomotiv Lewisham with Fernandes.

Lokomotiv Lewisham had Alexander-Arnold as well to score his first double digit week since GW 4. Bernardo Silva and Ødegaard got goals also to rack up the points. Lokomotiv Lewisham looks in good position to be back on the medal stand with Jota and Firmino lining up front.

BiggerBoat also had a defender with double digits in Emerson Royal. Nice perfect game for a defender for the 15 points to equal Rashford.

Morning Glory captained Son over Fernandes but had Bernardo and Gakpo on goals. Two clean sheets came by way of Coady and Martinez to win silver. This score puts Morning Glory into the promotion Zone in Sand.

Just two points behind was Keysersoze Wanderers for bronze. Fernandes was captain this time and Bernardo Silva was back again for his 10 point haul.

Just two points behind for Honorable Mention was ColdDogSoupFC with Salah as captain and also with Emerson Royal with that fine 15 point wallop on the final game week. No medal but a nice twenty point differential on the two teams ColdDogSoupFC is chasing to remain in Small Rocks.

For the wooden spoon, we are having a pattern of back to back awards. For the third time in the last seven game weeks it is GameofOhhs this time. The Nick Pope red card for -3 was particularly damaging.

Tarv, I believe you missed the 60 points in gw24 by The Javelinas! It is the Javs first medal of the season, and puts all 24 teams in the standings....

A little rewrite with a score missed for The Javelinas...

    GW 24

Two big scoring games for Arsenal and Manchester United look to be the fountain to which to find the medals.

We find two with gold. Both with Manchester United captains. BiggerBoat with Rashford and Lokomotiv Lewisham with Fernandes.

Morning Glory captained Son over Fernandes but had Bernardo and Gakpo on goals. Two clean sheets came by way of Coady and Martinez to win silver. This score puts Morning Glory into the promotion Zone in Sand.

With 60 points, winning their first medal in Fantasy Olympics, was The Javelinas. No Rashford. No Fernandes. No Arsenal players. One James Ward-Prowse and aTrent Alexander Arnold both with double digit hauls. Then their were more clean sheets from Dier and ManU pairing of Dalot and De Gea. That Mbuemo assist to get themselves on the medal stands. Congrats!

Just two points behind was Keysersoze Wanderers for honorable mention. Fernandes was captain this time and Bernardo Silva was back again for his 10 point haul.

Just two points and almost Honorable Mention was ColdDogSoupFC with Salah as captain and also with Emerson Royal with that fine 15 point wallop on the final game week. No medal but a nice twenty point differential on the two teams ColdDogSoupFC is chasing to remain in Small Rocks.

After a concerning couple of weeks of sharing minutes with Trossard, Martinelli owners who stuck him with as Captain for the double game week got ones of those fantasy moments to relish.

One such, Sasha Juniors, who thought not sticking with Haaland, was a risk to watching Borussia DaMarculs get further out of reach gets 52 of 104 points for a very good game week indeed, earning gold.

Journeymen who had Ødegaard as captain who only managed a solid 22 points was almost at triple digits with 98 points. This was by way of crazy numbers like 24 points from Van Dijk along with double digit hauls of two clean sheets for both Gabriel and Alexander-Arnold. Sarabia gets the goal and also hits double digits might be a name we hear more around here. Silver it is! Fifth silver. No gold, no bronze, always silver!

Stormin Gunners had Martinelli as well as Saka. Makes the obvious choice of Saka as captain. With Gabriel too to fill the Gunners basket tied Saka's 15 for 71 of their 88 points. What a haul from three players.

blechs_dawgs hit the triple captain button with Saka. Zinchenko brought in 18 but a Konaté sharing minutes with Matip keeps them off the medal stand.

Wooden Spoon goes to Tangers FC. Five players on the bye week and Captain Robertson only gets a single match which to double points. Uggh...

A 7-0 win over Man United and you know you are going to hear Salah's name.

Pararaders had Salah and Darwin in that rout. They even made the astute transfer of Jensen to score a goal before a double gameweek. Gold it is.

Kopite Juniors win silver. They had Salah, as captain, of course and Gakpo. Their other red, Gomez, was stuck on the bench with an injury.

The third Salah, was not captained. No names.

Bronze instead goes to GameOfOhhs who had Mitoma captained. A brilliant outing from that Seagull along with Veltman and Brennan Johnson lets them eke past Soccer Steve by a point to get on the medal stand.

Biggerboat with a Martinez -1 felt a bit pushed to be found with the Wooden Spoon again.

Glorydaze had both of the most transferred in players for the double gameweek and wasn't let down. Mitoma and Toney with 12 and 13 points respectively. Glorydaze even put the captain's armband on the higher score for that extra point. Martinelli, Watkins, a double Brentford defense and Dunk didn't dissapoint either. That was De Bruyne who was only given 11 minutes to shine. 85 points and the gold medal. Well done!

Silver went to blechs_dawgs who made a couple of well timed Brighton transfers. Mac Allister was one with the captain's armband for 20 points and between the stickes, Steele with 11 points. Newcastle pairing Almirón and Isak were both with goals too. A solid 75 and silver for the dawgs.

We had two teams winning bronze with 70 points each, Morning Glory and Real Newark. Morning Glory had Toney as captain for a 26 point haul. Real Newark equalled that with Captain Kane.

Stormin Gunners was almost there with a group effort with seven players all with 6 points or higher with Gabriel's goal and clean sheet highlighting the weekend.

The spoon goes to one who had to watch Salah woof a penalty. I think Lucy was there to move the ball at the last second. I also think I could lip read Salah saying, "Good Grief!"

    Saka, Saka, Saka.

If you captained Ødegaard on your open team you would be wrong.

Aviators got the captain button right with Trossard and Xhaka with Arsenal in the squad. Wins gold with Che Adams making it into the team of the week.

Just behind was Stormin Gunners, also with Saka as captain over Martinelli and Gabriel moving up to promotion territory in Sand League.

Our third and final Saka lands with a bronze medal for blechs_dawgs who was just a point behind Stormin Gunners. Isak was the other star with 13 points to nudge out Real Newark from the medal stand.

As reported elsewhere, Borussua DaMarcus might be leaving gravitational pull with Haaland left captain. That would have worked for the UEFA Champions League but here that only leaves splinters.

Double Gameweek 29 had one clear winner. Glorydaze, with a fired up De Bruyne is now chasing down Haalands in the Norwegian Woods while the big guy is suffering a hammy.

121 points and didn't even use the bench boost. Had Mitoma as captain for 34 points. Ollie Watkins with a massive 17 points. De Bruyne with 13 points is just ahead of Solanke and Toney each with 11. Then in the back line goals come from Pinnock and Ricardo Pereirra and a clean sheet apiece for Dunk and Pope. Only Martinelli didn't have a double gameweek and he had an assist. Since we are mentioning the entire squad, which you get for 121 points, Sancho with his two matches got a respectable 4 points. Bench boost would have brought in 18 more points.

That was Gold. Which they just won two gameweeks ago. Were ahead of Top Shelf in the All Rock and Small Rocks standings during over the weekend but Top Shelf got ahead again after the last match. Here in the Fantasy Olympics, Glorydaze has past two Haalands with five medals, all gold. Top Shelf has a narrow two point lead.

Silver and Bronze is a four team pile up with two more sliding in at honorable mention.

A point separating Silver and Bronze with 97 points for Silver and 96 points for Bronze.

With Silver was Aviators and Living in Dreamland. After winning gold last week, Hal deftly put the armband on Watkins over De Bruyne to get themselves on the medal stand.

Living in Dreamland had Watkins but captained Kane. But the points kept happening with Solanke and Grealish with double digits and Barnes and Mac Allister each with 9. Silver it is.

At 96 points for Bronze was The Javelinas and GameofOhhs.

GameofOhhs had Mitoma as captain for 28 points along with Trippier and Solanke in the double digits.

Our other bronze winner, The Javelinas had March as captain. Vice captain Mbuemo was the only player in double digits but six players had six points above split between defense and the outfield players.

Our honorable mentions at 95 points were Top Shelf and FC Epilkoinis. Top Shelf used their bench boost for 2 points but the magic happened on Tuesday and Wednesday as the Chelsea and Man U clean sheets started to roll in and Captain Rashford finally scored along with Buendia and Wilson who had a brace. Was able to stay ahead of Glorydaze in All Rocks and Small Rocks with that.

FC Epikoinis was the other honorable mention who chose Rashford as captain over Mitoma but was too busy welcoming back Jesus with his brace after the last goal was in game week 9.

The Wooden Spoon goes to Stormin Gunners who just before international break was on the medal stands with Silver with a brilliant Saka as captain. This week Saka was less than brilliant as captain. A total bummer for FPL but watching the Gunners trounce Leeds was a highlight enough.

    Gold: Glorydaze 121

Glorydaze seems to have the scripts from a Rocky movie. Waiting till the end and the wins don't stop. Wonder what the soundtrack to this one is.

Back for their 6th gold medal. After just their 5th last week and their 4th two weeks before that, Glorydaze is now on top of the Fantasy Olympics.

Past two Haalands in the All Rocks standings and looking to pass the last one standing, Glorydaze had another amazing round of 73 points. De Bruyne back as captain with 18 points. Martinelli with 13 and Pope with a PK save for 11 points.

The last Haaland standing, Sasha Juniors, won silver but were way behind with just 55 points. We haven't seen a score that low in a long time. Captain Haaland and Martinelli bring in 37 of those points.

Living in Dreamland are also on the medal stand winning bronze with 54 points. Captain's the red hot Watkins this time over Kane but the form each of those strikers are on it doesn't much matter. Then their is Grealish who has 12 points two weeks in a row.

Our honorable mention, blechs_dawgs got the Grealish memo and put the on the captain's armband, a matching one with the head band looking to get some new sponsors.

The wooden spoon goes to Borussia Damarcus who put the captain's arm band on Groß over Haaland but this might be silver screen magic for the ultimate comeback.

While I appreciate the mention, the Honorable Mention shout out is due to @Jacob Taylor aka Soccer Steve, who had 8 points from Fabianski via autosub to get to 52 for 4th highest score.

An update for Soccer Steve winning the Honorable Mention

    GW 30

Glorydaze seems to have the scripts from a Rocky movie. Waiting till the end and the wins don't stop. Wonder what the soundtrack to this one is.

Our honorable mention, Soccer Steve got just the right amount of sixes, seven and eights to edge out blechs_dawgs got the Grealish memo and put the on the captain's armband, a matching one with the head band looking to get some new sponsors.

The wooden spoon goes to Borussia Damarcus who put the captain's arm band on Groß over Haaland but this might be silver screen magic for the ultimate comeback.

blechs_dawgs kept the armband on Grealish over Son but there was an even more inspired cast including two April transfers of Jota, Eze and Dalot. Gameweek 31 transfer Eze got 16 points and Gameweek 30 transfer Jota also got 16 points. I think that would be blech's third time owning Jota after being an original draft pick. Patience pays off as those were Jota's first two goals of the season.

For Silver, the sleeping giant, Borussia Dortmund, came roaring back after a bit of a slumber. Haaland has the armband back. Groß and Paqueta gave OK performances but Ødegaard and Antony really shown. The Norwegian with 10 points got his first double digit effort since GW 18 and Antony with 14 points had his name in the Dream Team for the first time. More will be expected of all of them as Borussia Dortmund will look to move back to first place of All Rocks.

In first place and with Bronze this week is Sasha Juniors who are just scrabbling to keep ahead of Glorydaze whose name is begging to top all of the lists in all the competitions around here. Haaland again is captain and a solid performance from new transfer Gakpo gets them over the line past Pararaiders.

Our honorable mention, Pararaiders, is where we find our first Salah owner. Captain's him unlike someone else we know and gets 28 out of 60 points with one player. Welbeck and Darwin don't get 60 minutes but each get on the board to get them on the list.

Our Wooden Spoon goes to Keysersoze Wanderers who suffered along with their captain Jensen and vice-captain Fernandes with an off weekend.

Glorydaze and Top Shelf stay in the lead in this competition with this weeks medal winners lining 3rd through 5th place.

blechs_dawgs is back for another Gold. Enough attention has been paid to Glorydaze. Now it is time to watch blech transfer by transfer win the Fantasy Olympics.

Blechs makes it two golds in a row and is in the 1600 club along with the three Haalands and Glorydaze. Saka, Jota and Isak all hit for 13 points. The armband went to Saka. 52 points from three players. Not bad. The rest of the squad besides Pickford and new transfer Almirón were just ones, two and a three.

This gets blech just under the line of the first Haaland in the Fantasy Olympics but then Glorydaze has to be in the headlines too. Just before blech got their first two golds in a row, our archives show us that the person who did it in the weeks just before was Glorydaze. Another one from the Small Rocks mad house. 3 points for Silver to solidify their lead. After six straight golds, Glorydaze for strategy sake decide to accept the Silver.

Small Rocks with three teams in the top five, where Glorydaze now holds the lead and is in striking distance for the top of the All Rocks table, gets to see their leader pivot from De Bruyne on the bench to Martinelli as captain with a striker partnership of Watkins, Toney and Solanke, the low budget leaders.

Our other silver medalist is Stormin Gunners who went all in with Arsenal. Saka as captain, Martinelli as vice-captain and Gabriel as memory of a past with clean sheets and header goals face a tough road ahead for the ultimate prize.

For bronze, we have Aviators who are on the verge of toppling the second Haaland in the Golden Boot. Saka again as captain with De Bruyne on the bench. Just nine players so this was Aviators just being nice to Glorydaze.

The Boot, was almost a Haaland but a one point differential it is GameofOhhs getting ready for their finest cooking show ever.

Had to get the Boot out so this one is a little late to press.

The Haaland - De Bruyne power struggle ends this week with De Bruyne in goals and Haaland with the assists.

Stepping up on the medal stand from last week is Aviators with De Bruyne as captain. Harrison helps along with three clean sheets in the back.

Not willing to move from the medal stands is Glorydaze with another Silver and a bit of a neck strain.

Five gameweeks to go and running the numbers it is looking like a lock and some Wheaties endorsements for Glorydaze. Captain DeBruyne is getting that bowl ready and practicing some selfies.

Bumping the two Haalands two Honorable mention was BiggerBoat with the Bronze. Rashford as captain and Mings do enough to edge out the Norwegian Duo of Sasha Juniors and Top Shelf.

The Wooden Spoon was Stormin Gunners whose Gunners were on the wrong end of the stick against De Bruyne, Haaland and crew.

With a double gameweek for ManU, Man City, Liverpool and of course next year's Champions League winners, Brighton, there was a ton of Triple Captains and Bench Boosts.

The De Bruyne Triple captain was a disaster. Not a disaster were the Haaland and Salah triple captains.

The Haaland triple captain won the gold. That was Top Shelf. Now just five points behind Glorydaze (De Bruyne triple captain that became Watkins 2x3 for 6) in Small Rocks and moving up both here in the Fantasy Olympics and All Rocks. Groß and Wilson brought in double digits and a Rashford, Zaha, Stone and Dias brough seven and over. 48 points from the giant for a total of 113 points.

Not far behind was Pararaiders. Triple captained Salah and with Dunk and Welbeck for the double digit scores. Salah was worth 54 of the 108 points to get the Silver.

Kopite Juniors won Bronze with another Salah triple captain. Groß and Enciso got double digits on the field and Ake got double digits in the middle of the bench.

Honorable Mention goes to ColdDogSoup FC with the third Salah triple captain. Double digits from Alvarez, Welbeck and Diaz but Colwill and Fontana disappointed ending up with 104 points and just off the medal stand.

Worth mentioning is Real Newark who was also in triple digits with 101 points. No triple captains or bench boosts but a well stocked cabinet of Brighton, Liverpool, ManU and Man City players to accompany Captain Kane. Nine double gameweek players with three double digit scores coming from Brighton. Welbeck, a recent transfer along with Mac Allister with the late PK and Estupinan with two clean sheets and an assist.

The Wooden Spoon goes to Stormin Gunners who is suffering insult to injury at the end of the season.

None of that cheating-triple-captain nonsense at ColdDogSoup FC:whistling: we wasted the chips much earlier, hopefully we did enough to stay alive in the Boot.

With a extra healthy 22 points on my bench, I was regretting not playing it this week. Given past experience, I'd gladly take half that and call it day.....
