Unrelared to his current success with the club is the fact that while a player he was unfairly thrust into the Csptain spotlight before he was ready due to mismanagement by the front office which saw a highly succesful head coach and Captain unceremoniously forced out of the club and leaving him as a scapegoat for an unbalanced and poorly pieced together squad, but, he seemed to have landed on the right side of history as a result of hindsight into the first attempt at a "Galactico" policy which saw in decline stars awarded huge contracts for achievements outside of the club and development of a true FC Hollywood culture within the clubs ranks where even the President fashioned himself as a celebrity. Fortunately for the club he seemed to rebound late in his career and help lift them to back to la liga titles and return to the top of the scoring charts. Then he went to Shalke of all places and turned them into a force reaching the CL semi finals, winning two domestic cups and further demonstrating the leadership ability that will help make him a great manager. There's a great case to be made for why Raul should get a shot as manager but the lingering questions we should be asking is if Flo is still competent in the role as club President and how much irreparable harm has he done with the superleague, stadium rebuild and failure to land transfer targets like Mbappe abd Haaland.
So a bunch of excuses (and no mention that the same dressing issues extended to the NT and their success coincided with him being dropped), and then a deflection to the greatest president in club history.
You are team Mourinho, tearing into Iker for maintaining relationships with national team counterparts. Total hypocrite. You are also backing Xabi as if he wasn't part of the problem back in the Mourinho days, with there are good people on both sides rhetoric. Them as his last act as a saboteur at the club he forced a transfer at the transfer deadline and totally screwed over Carlo and the club after Casemiro was already sold and leaving the team thin at DM. A truly selfish decision on Xabi's part because he didn't want to compete for playing time.
From an outsiders perspective, I always thought Raul got a pretty raw deal back then . His output was clearly affected when R9 was brought in . And then he got limped in as one of the problems . Sure he didn’t have R9 skill set , but he was a great finisher and had a knack for goals . Sometimes that’s all you need in the team .
The Coolers dream of the new stadium may be on hold. They completely mistimed the market and now probably won’t get the funding needed to renovate. At least Flo understands business and capital markets and was able to secure a really low cost loan to fund the Bernabeu. I’m guessing that Barca will pull some more levers; https://frontofficesports.com/barcelona-taps-brakes-on-1-6b-stadium-renovation-plan/
I said that when Milan announced they were intending to move into a new stadium, we're heading into a commodity crisis which will see the materials needed for the project spike upwards tremendously in price. It's something that caught up to us as well as were finishing the project.
It’s more of a capital problem. Banks are now getting squeezed with all of the low interest assets that they bought when rates were near zero and now have to come up remarking those positions as rates have gone up. Farca is BBB which is one step away from junk bond rating. That makes it even more expensive to borrow. They have been huffing and puffing with their chests out thinking that they will get easy money, but the reality has changed. If they are dumb enough to take out a 1.5 billion loan at 8%, that will cripple them forever, unless an oil state comes in and takes over (which is not out of the realm of possibilities)
Every single item needed to build a stadium has increased in price, as well as the cost of labor. I never believed in Barcelona's intention in reworking the Camp Nou, it always felt like a response to the new Bernabeu, although there is a surge in new infrastructure in Spain so we'll see.
Affirming what I posted the other day: 💣💣💣 "Negreira tenia acceso a todos los informes de evaluación de los colegiados y podía manipularlos, decidiendo quién ascendía y quién descendía. Podría influir claramente en el ascenso de los árbitros más afines" 💣💣💣REGENERACIÓN del fútbol español o CERO CREDIBILIDAD https://t.co/PYCSwDbnO2— José Luis Sánchez 🇪🇸 (@JLSanchez78) March 20, 2023
This is what I said which of course the pro-corruption crew have avoided like the plague. Negreira and barca have destroyed the foundation of officiating in Spain and that has effected even tournaments outside of La Liga.

Turkish football has seen some nutters down the years. But nobody compares to ex-Barcelona winger Arda Turan - the man is an absolute fruitcake. From strangling journalists to firing guns in hospital, this is the story of Turkey's greatest wild child. pic.twitter.com/DSO7vALElB— The Upshot (@UpshotTowers) March 21, 2023
In a significant development, La Liga will return Gavi’s status to that of a Barcelona academy player which means a release clause allowing him to leave for nothing this summer now comes back into effect. #FCB pic.twitter.com/PzHpqLPiTm— The Athletic | Football (@TheAthleticFC) March 21, 2023 Can’t stand his petulance. I hope some English team steals him. Oh and Barca such a well run club as per
Can't stand him either, little brat, but i imagine he'll only leave if he wants to, and if he can still play with the first team (i guess that's still possible) i don't see that happening, he definitely loves it there
Many people don't realize how vicious the United States has been with it's use of power, if you think this was bad, I'm just going to say a lot of bad things go on in the world
Bvb is to Bayern what Liverpool is to Real Madrid. They are 100% choking. Der Klassiker is just a long highlight reel of Bayern running a train on Bvb.
