Looking across social media (Insta, Twitter) I'd say there are a few hundred less-than-thrilled fans. But that's hardly a mighty movement. Most people who watch the games just aren't that invested, and if the team repeatedly tanks, they'll start following an EPL team or LAFC. Or switch to basketball.

Sampling say Quakes on fb or twitter, I think it's also self-selecting. Whiners gonna whine. You see the same handful of people whining over and over. You're not going to see people who don't feel a need to incessantly whine on social media or are not that invested. And I think the whining is a bit contagious. People start to see it as the place to whine and you get some me-too kinds of stuff. Kind of like this forum - it's the Culture of Complaint. The point is, I don't think those samples are representative of the fan base in general.

what do Quakes fans have to complain about anyway, right Jazz? I'm sure the fanbase in general is delighted. :D

No, you think its such because thr majority disagree with YOU, resulting your narrative to believe its obsenities and displeasures about a team sucking the grape fruit sized dickballs as complaint.

When in fact your an apologist for everything you think is gospel because thats your narrative.

I see you (along with me and others) got called out on Twitter by user name on twitter by a few people for being stagnant regurgitated know it alls.

I’d say that speaking out after 15 years of unrelenting misery punctuated by one season of irreplicable, unbelievable come-from-behind wins/draws is not whining any more than the pleas of an abused spouse is whining.

I enjoy the games. I’m really not that miserable. Your mileage may vary!

I’d enjoy the games a hell of a lot more if there was one iota of evidence to indicate our owner had any ambition beyond simply existing within MLS. I’ve never seen a shred that would indicate so…

I'd be happy with him just putting reasonably smart people in charge of soccer ops. We hadn't gotten there yet, but still hopeful for the current regine.

I'd no hope when they ignored Johnny Moore

Lol, they could be following a Championship side if Leeds slips back into the relegation zone.

I'm one of they, and I only follow teams where Americans get on the field... i.e. Stopped watching Chelsea v Everton as soon as Pulisic subbed off.

Even though I knew the score and had read through all of the posts from the game in this thread, we watched the game last night (after it was finally available in MLS Season Pass).

The short summary: I'm not aligned with the majority of the posts. I think the game was fairly even in the first half, even after Gruevo went down with his injury. Yes, St Louis pressured well, but we had opportunities, but executed poorly (passing by Yuell and Tommy). Both goals in the first half were poor mistakes rather than St Louis doing anything great. I didn't have a problem with the official other than a few calls (one yellow). Yellows to Cade, Baldisimo, and Trauco were all warranted. In the second half, the Quakes had two great chances to score with both Cade and Benji both executing poorly on their shots on one attempt. In the end, St Louis executed better and the Quakes made too many mistakes.

    Some other observations:
    • I think the question of effort has more around Luchi wanting to play a possession, controlled game rather than effort. Yes, there are cases where the team needs to be harder in the tackle.
    • Building out of the back is great, but comes at a price. We are not good enough to take advantage of building from the back and not making mistakes.
    • We were one Rodrigues clearance (What was with the chest trap attempt?) and a JT save (on the second goal is foot work was poor and got megged. Not good) from being a one goal game.
    • Akapo, Yuell, Tommy, JT, and Cade had poor games. Need better execution from all of them for this team to win.
    • I liked Baldisimo effort and game. His passing and movement was good. Not perfect, but he was better than the starter.
    • Beason sticking his leg out on the third goal is amateur night. Stand up and let your keeper make the save. If he wants to go down, he needs to be far close to the player.
    • We saw the good (two great saves) and the bad of JT. So, usual...
We are still in good shape standings wise and the mistakes are correctable. However, if we keep making them, it can spiral out of control like we saw in the past. Hopefully, the injures weren't serious and they will return for the next game.

Not as close as the score indicated. Complete shit show from the Quakes.

Baldisimo better than Gruezo?? Wow, have to disagree a lot with this one. Baldi missed tackles on both of St. Louis's goals, and on the 2nd one it was really 2 missed tackles on Klauss, and on the second tackle he took out TT but not Klauss.

I think the wasted opportunities had more to do with poor execution by the front 3 mainly - Cade especially, but Jebo and Espinoza also. Yueill and TT got the ball into the final 3rd where we wasted the opportunity - poor Cade decisions, a nice move by Espinoza but Jebo and him not on the same page, an open shot put 15 yards over the goal by Espinoza, a weird Akapo pass / cross to nobody, etc.

And he finds a way to defend Thompson and paint a perfect picture. The narration of status quo continues.

Gruezo might it be the second coming, but he’s a damn with better than Baldisimo who was dire defensively. Between he and Rodrigues we were wide open in the central defense.
