2024 will be an interesting year. It’s an Olympic year, so the Quadrenial Copa America femenina isn’t normally held. Since 2006 it has been held every 4 years. While there was talk of a 2 year schedule that may have been amended to accommodate a tournament in the USA in search of revenue. The Men’s Copa America is returning to the USA in 2024 with more CONCACAF involvement as well after the financial success of the Centenario. That was originally scheduled to be in Ecuador. But CONCACAF and CONMEBOL will combine forces for a women’s tournament. the CONCACAF copa de oro femenina will have 8 CONCACAF teams and invite the top 4 teams from the 2022 Copa America. https://www.conmebol.com/noticias/c...ion-inaugural-de-la-copa-oro-concacaf-w-2024/ It will be held in the USA in Feb- March and the USWNT automatically qualifies by virtue of winning The last WWC, so we know 5 of the 12 teams will be USA, Brasil, Argentina, Colombia, and Paraguay. the other 7 CONCACAF teams will be determined by the Olympic Qualifiers.
