I'm laughing thinking about our CBs running forward to join the attack because our midfield can't or won't. We need to stop playing Kroos and Modric at the same time. We need proper fullbacks, RW and a CF. Hopefully Fran is that guy at LB, but that still leaves RB, RW and CF.
Benz is tired.... the extra miles and effort he's put in since Ronaldo left are beginning to show. This is normal....what's not normal...is the club didn't plan for this but getting Carlo 2 more attacking options given that Hazard and Mariano don't even count. The club has done incredible planning for the midfield with Camavinga and Tchouameni (and possibly Bellingham/Vega), and for the center of the defence for the post Ramos-Varane era with Militao, Alaba and Rudiguer....but nothing for the attack. We need Flo in his most pragmatic form this summer: - If the club is still set on Mbappe, have him tell PSG he won't exercise the option next year and offer 200m now; - If not get us one or two other options: Kvara....Concalo Ramos....Salah ...Kolo Muani.... We desperately need a 6 yard box menace. For the fullback situation is simple....Fran is back and alternate with Mendy/Alaba. For the right, Cancelo is there for the taking....Reece James is a long shot..... Pavard might be worth a shout....there are options.
🚨🌕| As things stand, Liverpool increasingly unlikely to sign Jude Bellingham this summer. They’re trying but feeling is Real Madrid, City are in stronger position. @David_Ornstein #rmalive— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) March 20, 2023 So as predicted by people here City’s name is now public ally in the hat. This reporter is very credible.
Kvara is having an excellent campaign, but I remain somewhat skeptical. It's his first season putting up numbers. Just for a comparison, Rodrygo actually creates more xG and the same xA per 90 as Kvara does. Sure, Kvara perhaps is the better finisher and is having the better season, but am I completely sure Rodrygo wouldn't be able to accomplish similar production if given that type of role and minutes?
IN :Osimhen, Diaby, Davies, Fresneda and Doue. Total 350 million. OUT: Hazard, Mariano, Rodrygo, Kroos, Vazquez, Odriolzola, Mendy, Asensio. Total 150 million. The 200 million net loss is the gift we were preparing for Mbappe last summer. BOOM, we're back!
Fair but that doesn't mean we are in the race, the wages are too high. Nevermind that he doesn't want to be a CF and we already have one of the best at LW right now. Add in the sense of entitlement, I've got real questions about that player, his time at PSG hasn't helped him.

‼️🏴 Manchester City are confident of getting Bellingham. @RodrigoFaez pic.twitter.com/F3lhcRMQTT— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 20, 2023
With the current issues around racism and how it is being handled by the Spanish FA, City would be the most attractive option for Jude. Nevermind the financial reward, opportunity to work with Pep, playing in the biggest league in the world, etc. Recent rumours point to both Liverpool and us finding Jude's signing increasingly difficult.
After yesterday and recent weeks, we’ve got more urgent matters to deal with, right after the season has finished. Would be awesome to have him but now seen as a luxury.
Yeah knew it was coming. Bellingham will have to resist the wages over the board and the huge sums under the table.... many haven't.
How do you get 150m from that? Only Rodrygo and Mendy have sale value, rest you would be lucky to get rid without having to pay their salary.
Money aside, a move to City fits him like a glove, with a . And I also think an English talent like Jude would want to maximise his relevancy by playing in his home country, at the top level. Both Gundogan and B. Silva are likely to leave, with the latter apparently linked to us (source credibility check): Edit: + the opportunity for him to partner with Haaland, again. It makes so much sense on so many fronts.
If Bernardo Silva is available and interested, the club should sign him for RW. Better option than getting Bellingham for CM.
With all of the different positions we need to strengthen in, I'm beginning to think that signing Jude for a massive outlay isn't such a smart idea. On the other hand, City would be doing absolutely sensational business by signing Haaland and Jude in consecutive summers. It's what we used to be able to do back in the day.
Yup, seems like every summer he looks unsettled. We should save him from gloomy Manchester already. Could also be a decent Modric replacement.
For a club our size, we’ve actually been almost net zero in outlay and receipts for our transfers since 2017. That’s insane to think that we can’t spend money in Bellingham AND other parts of the squad. Yes, we’re not an oil club but we’re not Villarreal FFS.
