Maybe he was just running enough, so nobody saw him.

Fairly sure he hurt himself running…at least he tried.

    From today's presser with Ezra:
"Shaq has lower leg tightness, so we are being careful with it, hoping he's good to go this weekend"
"Fede and Jairo will be out this weekend, but no longer term view"
"The rest of the injuries are 'nics' so, other than the red cards, the rest should be available for Saturday"
"we played the 2 strikers against the Union to balance out the missing central midfielders"

So, not clear if we will see a 3-5-2 again, nor how many minutes we should expect from Shaqiri.

    Expecting:
    ...................Kacper
    ..Mueller.....Shaqiri.....Guti
    ...........Gaston...Mauri
    Miggy....Rafa...Carlos..Souquet
    ....................Brady

If 3-5-2, the question is who would be the second striker...Victor, Mueller, MHS, Missael, Monis...and does that make for enough an improvement on the attack to play Burks on D to get that second striker on.
    .............????..Kacper
    ..Miggy.......Shaq.......Souquet
    ...........Gaston...Mauri
    ......Burks....Rafa....Carlos

Honestly why not play Omsberg instead of Burks?!?!

Don’t want left foot plus Czichos out of the middle…and coach choose Burks over Omsberg last time for a reason

Honestly Burks did not show much speed on the left last game...only after Czichos went to LCB did anything good happen with the 3 cb's...thus...put Omsberg in center. No offense but Omsberg showed waaaay more before injury last season...and Burks..well..has not yet...at all.

    For 3/18/23 against Cincinnati…
    upload_2023-3-16_23-10-0.png

Not sure which young player(s) will be called on…if going 2 strikers again it could be Victor and Burks. If back to the 4-2-3-1 Missael or Alex are possible starters.

    No clear obvious best XI.
    Guessing:
    ...................Kacper
    …..MHS........Guti…..Mueller
    ...........Gaston...Mauri
    Miggy....Rafa...Carlos..Souquet
    ....................Brady

Koutsias still not here. Visa issues mentioned. Aceves may be available to play this weekend. How does this happen?
Must be different entry rules for players from different countries

I think I read Or heard on a podcast that koutsias will also be a little late to play for Greece in a youth international fixture. Not sure if it’s a tournament or some qualifier games but I don’t know if we get him until April

  15. My guess is because of whatever they call NAFTA now it's easier to get work a permit to play coming from Mexico than Greece.

We have not had a 'best XI' since 2018! ;)
We have had to settle for a 'barely adequate XI' most games since then.

Are we sure Miggy will still be here? This lineup does have potential, so it may be an interesting match until time to substitute. You never know!

Not sure, but the call up is for a game next Friday...so I think we will have him this Saturday and he will fly out Sunday.

You say that, but he's the last player to score a goal for the Fire in the playoffs.

That says way, way more about the Fire since 2012 than it does about Alex.
Not to mention, the Fire lost that game.

It was interesting until Cincinnati started to substitute. Guess I need to predict that we will win on our next match.
