Kicker interview: https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/spor...rangers-future-bayern-munich-insight/?ref=rss
in the original Kicker article interview the first thing they ask him is what was up with that goal. Malick said he had no idea it was played out by his teammate and the way the defender took the ball didn’t look like he was trying to boot it away so Malick went for it and made the goal. About the hub-bub after the goal he said he wouldn’t ever want to have anything with those guys again. They handled the situation incorrectly, in an inhumane way in what they did and said to him. It sounded like they used some slurs on him or something. Sounds like not very good lads, those thistles.
Out with an injury for today's match: Michael Beale has admitted injury has ruled Malik Tillman out against Livingston. The Rangers midfielder dropped out of the matchday squad after a calf and hamstring issue during the week. https://www.rangersreview.co.uk/new...absence-explained-celtic-return-chance-rated/
Reports out of Albion suggest Tillman has passed a late fitness test and will be available to start tomorrows little local kick-around. https://www.footballscotland.co.uk/...alik-tillman-delivers-rangers-injury-26307885
according to the interwebs the cup final is available in the US here CBS Sports Network, fuboTV, and DirecTV Stream
Out today with a knock: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-vs-kilmarnock-live-score-29372068 Rangers make four changes from the Viaplay Cup final, including an all-new midfield with Nicolas Raskin, Todd Cantwell and Ryan Jack coming in for John Lundstram, Glen Kamara and Malik Tillman, with the American missing out altogether through injury.
there was potential Yank on Yank violence tomorrow as Hibs take on Gers in a midweek SPL duel, but looks like Tillman still out till the weekend.
Their behavior 1000% justified not giving them the goal on the following kick off. If it had merely been wtf?!?! type words, that's one thing, but instead first it's the idiot who can't trap as well as a U5 kid who'd rather be playing basketball, and then they knock him down, step on him a second time, and whatever words flew, flew. With that, I would have 1000% told them to ---- right off. You've got the right to the grace of letting a goal by, as teams have done over the years over mistaken instances of that sort, but when you act like nasty, contemptuous pieces of ---- and try to injure a player again, after you already injured him in the first place, all that etiquette should be flushed down the toilet. Glad those scumbags lost despite the kindness given by the rangers coach.
Back in action: “Malik Tillman trained today and is available for selection." https://www.ibroxnews.com/2023/03/1...tillman-update-ahead-of-rangers-v-motherwell/
And he scores in 68th with hammer to top right corner from just inside the right side of penalty box. 4-2 Rangers over Motherwell now
M. Tillman scores a beautiful goal for Rangers, the young American 🇺🇸 did not make the USMNT March roster. The justification was that he was injured, he does not look injured to me. pic.twitter.com/sjAMeFNaYj— Tactical Manager (@ManagerTactical) March 18, 2023 The goal
The implication according to Hudson was he asked to all of the teams and some were held back because of health. So did Rangers sandbag Hudson or is there a bit of truth and he's not 100% and they don't think it's a good idea to fly back and forth across the Atlantic and practice and play while recovering? I'll guess the latter but watch them closely in future releases/non-releases.
Completely has the feel of "not 100%," to me, given his recent playing time. However, he's definitely a guy who needs more minutes with the National Team to get more comfortable. Hopefully he gets his next season plans sorted and can play in some of the summer matches.
