He will allow Carlo to take the blame for any failures and remain quiet on the issue of Barca paying reffs off while they run away with another league title.

Is there a word for such a person?

If we lose the league, it won’t be because of this result….it would be the points dropped against bottom of the table teams.

A win and a draw against Atletico isn’t horrible over a season….and we’ve beaten Barca in la liga once already.

What we lack is offensive consistency…..and we went to sleep defensively from November to the end of January

    What crap performance.

A match like this reinforces the reality that Asensio is not a player we should renew.

Benz is a ghost of the player last season.

Vinny can’t do it all offensively alone.

We need more from the midfield in offensive attacking off ball and dynamic movement. We just seem to stand around and cycle it around with no threat.

Too often when Vinny makes a run there are literally 6 opposing players in the box and no RM player at all as an option.

We’ve struggled against a low block for years now. Let’s actually get some players who can help us combat that as 90% of Liga teams play us that way.

    Missed the 2nd half.

Wasn't convinced by Carlo's starting midfield choice and for me Alvaro should have started ahead of Asensio, alas Carlo doesn't have the balls for that. Glad he had a impact though.

    We need fullbacks, period.

The league is effectively over but we knew this already, the draw just cemented the fact imo.

We should be able to afford a loss/draw vs Atletico but not when we drop points unnecessarily vs minnows like Girona, Mallorca and Villareal.

Carlo is a UCL/cup guy, definitely not one that has the consistency of winning the league.

Created next to nothing offensively today. I don’t know what it is with this team moving the ball so slowly and allowing the opposition to setup.

    Been an issue for years.

Carlo is in stubborn mode. He won't change a thing unless there's injury

Carlo's a puss. When Atletico went a man down, he should have immediately put on Alvaro and pushed forward.

We definitely need a Bruno Fernandes / Kevin de Bruyne type player. I think that possibly can be Camavinga and Tchouameni as they've showed an eye for a pass, especially over the top. Problem is, we don't have any player making those runs.

I don’t see the scoring touch with Tchouameni. Camavinga could get there one day but his shooting technique needs a lot of work.

We used to spam cross against these parked buses where Ronaldo or Bale would get on the end of one. We don’t have that aerial threat anymore, need a shooting threat from the midfield.

I like our mid but there’s too many of the same profile, need some variety.

This result only confirms what most of us already know: Real Madrid isn't defending the league title. Just focus on the achievables - Champion's League and to some extent the CdR. Rest the veterans in La Liga. Call it a day. It doesn't matter if Real Madrid qualifies 2nd or 4th for the CL. Just focus on the trophies.

It’s good to see that Carlo might be starting to move on from Mariano and Hazard. Alvaro and hopefully some Arribas sightings should get any of their minutes.

Perhaps, this Barcelona's potential future title will be taken away.

It’s tough to decide who was the worst of the front 3. Vini made some attempts but either kept losing ball or was totally off with his shooting/final passing. Benzema was nowhere to be seen when a ball was crossed into the middle of the box and Asensio, well was asensio whenever he starts- ineffective and wayward with shooting with the right side not linking up at all,

Echoing the fact what others said, we needed to be more aggressive once Manzano gifted us with opportunity to clinch the W and we let it go waste.

I am not sure what you’d have to do to get these guys to truly care about the league but that’s probably what happens when you’ve won more trophies than most clubs have in their entire history.

    Still, just not good enough.

The only bright spots for me were Alvaro, Camavinga, and Valverde.

I know i'm in the minority, but i thought the team player very well, in a way that made the game feel likeit went by in a flash, so properly entertaining, but we need goals. Can't rely on Vinicius taking the ball and scoring the thing from A to Z. Atleti did well to prevent long range efforts from Asensio and Valverde, Alvaro is intriguing.

I don't feel disappointed. Good game.

Jr didn't have anyone to link up after he beat a player so he often had to continue to drive into a low block. He had no support from a CF or midfield making runs into the box.

Benzema continues to make runs far post instead of going near post after Vinicius beats his man.
It was too easy for their defense to intercept passes.

Exactly. Real doesn't take care of business against the easier teams, then they have to go hard against the tougher teams just to do the same job that Barca can do with ease.

They were Red carded last week as well. But against Madrid the alarm signals go off?
