Considering UEFA has its own Nations League and so does CONCACAF, I wonder if Africa (CAF) if we shouldn't benefit from having our own Nations League especially when it comes to things like future AFCON tournaments or to help African teams with World Cup qualifying within Africa?

Why not. I can' think of a good reason not to except fixture congestion!

This is why they have AFCON every two years, instead of four. It makes sense, tbh, as a Nations League would be a hassle for them and would be seen as low value. They have been playing AFCON since 1957 and it's an unmovable part of the footballing culture in Africa.

It's pretty balanced in who has been in the Final and who has won it, ie, North Africa v West Coast. The only thing that stands out is that Morocco has never won it, despite having produced consistently good/great players and teams since 1970. Second in 2004 and third place in 1980 is the best they have managed. It's a great tournament, I urge you all to watch in January. These are the international broadcasters...
