there is always one fixture at that time for UEL.

usually reserved for an Eastern European team but maybe to have it is a stand alone fixture for maximum views this time

    Means bench will look like

Subs: Heaton, Maguire, Lindelof, Mainoo, Pellistri, Iqbal, Elanga, Wan Bissaka, Garnacho

That is a very young bench. I can see Garnacho coming on to be on the left and Pellistri to be on the right with Marcus at CF

We could see Lindelof as a midfield sub in case of injury or an early card. I don't see Iqbal or Mainoo getting any playtime.

Had a dream we played Maguire at Smalling at CB and got battered. But then I also dreamt lions and bears were attacking everyone, so go figure.

This will be a tough game. Barca have been looking a better side lately. Could be the start of a running rivalry between ten Hag and Xavi. Ten Hag was one of the coaches up for the Barca job. They may come to regret not having hired him.

Yep, that's exactly what stood out to me. That bench really highlights how little depth we have. We have 3 teenagers on the bench and two goalkeepers for a european tie against Barcelona.

With suspensions and injuries, not much else can be done.

    Suspended: Licha, Sabitzer
Injured: Ericksen, Donny, McT, Martial, Antony

According to BT Sport, first time Lewandowski has ever faced us. Weird.

Bruno needs to quit dicking around on the ball. When we win possession we have to counter quick.

What's even funnier, is Shaw is a much better CB than Maguire.

Wout is defending as an 8 as Fred seems to be man marking Frenkie.

    Really?

AWB looks absolutely lost. Just whipping his head back and forth. Barcas movement off the ball has him in no mans land.

Its one thing for Barca to out possess us. I think we all expected that. But in physical situations they are bullying us. Thats unacceptable. And I know I sound like a broken record, but yet another game where WW is getting pushed around. I cant wrap my head around being that big and that soft.

Which is why i preferred Dalot to start. He's not that much better at defendinf than Dalot, but he knows how to position himself and he want do a back heel clearance in the middle of the box like an idiot.

Playing against Fred is Barcas dream. If they ever lose possession they know he'll give it right back without even being pressed.
