That's on Carlo sadly. No way Balde, Gavi etc would get significant minutes under a coach like Carlo. He's all about pleasing seniors like Mariano, Odri before giving chances to Castilla stars. ZZ is not known for promoting youngsters but even he gave minutes to Miguel, Arribas etc when they were 3 years younger.
He can praise Rodrygo without belittling Vini. Even though Vini is far from his best in last 3 months, he has 13 goals and 5 assists in half a season. Mijatovic is the one who started "Wales, Golf, Madrid" rant against Bale as well. He lost SD job when Flo replaced Calderon so....
Not disagreeing with you, but Carlo is hardly pleasing Mariano or Odri lol. They both (rightly) rarely get minutes either.

Tobias and Arribas playing ahead of them would create more tension with these washed vets and Carlo doesn't wanna deal with that. He knows club not happy about this either but he doesn't care. Maiano has these injuries while doing nothing anyways. That's how Alvaro got minutes in CDR because Mariano was out injured.
Its really done wonders for rodrygo being the media shadow of vini. Does the work, talks little. Its what you want to see. That doesnt mean hes better, they are very different players and people.
Playing in the third division of Spanish football isn't helping any player from Castilla unfortunately, what looks good there might not apply in the first team...... personally i have no idea if the club is happy with how Carlo is treating the youngsters or not so i can't comment on that, if it were me though i'd certainly have Arribas spending more time with the first team, the others i have no idea about, at least Arribas seems to be producing at the level he is currently playing at
Guess what? Barca B plays there too. Ton of stars made that jump and never had 3rd division excuse then. Better than giving any minutes to Odri, Mariano etc easily.
Ton of stars? come on now, i don't think that's accurate, Farca had no money, so the kids got chances, someone had to play for the first team, the only one left from that "ton" is Gavi, (Pedri doesn't count) Eze and all the others that played were eventually shipped out, why? well they just weren't that good, Farca managed to find a way to bring in proper reinforcements, then all the superkids were sent away, Balde is now making his way, maybe that's 2 more than us but a ton? nope. Third division football just isn't that conducive to playing first team football, you might get the outlier but that's it, only one i'd be looking at is Arribas, he seems to be doing well down there
Did you? I could have sworn the other day you were talking shit about us when we were saying Carlo wasn't using his resources enough including these Castilla players. I guess now you see they can be useful? I would hope Carlo does but we have seen his track record. For instance why in the world was Ceballos on the bench in the first place?
Pretty much all their legends made the jump from 3rd division. Same with Madrid because Castilla has rarely played in Segunda. It's mostly been 3rd division.

My response was from saying our Castilla wouldn't provide any kind of return yet less than 24-hours from those utterances one of those Castilla players is scoring seconds into his CWC debut. I hope now that you can see the name on the back of the shirt isn't as important as the hunger and desire. Still confused? See Ceballos. I know I know, he will be right back on the bench if our oldheads are available (just like today's match).
On Camavinga: He’s definitely bringing a level of ball progression and dynamism up the left flank that we don’t often see with Mendy. However, this was a bit of a tough game for him defensively. A bit surprising that it came against Al Ahly, but perhaps not so much given that they were forced to play on the counter attack and Camavinga was tasked with defending a few 1 on 1s at full speed. Of course, we all want and expect to see him in the midfield when the backline personnel get healthier. However, there may be certain game states where it may be worthwhile to sub out Mendy and put Camavinga at LB. I’m thinking in the Champions League if we’re losing and need to chase a game. In a game where the opponent is going to defend a lead and we need to break down a block, where he may not get tested defensively but can bring an added dynamic in attack from that position.
I said this, in the most sarcastic way I could have. Obviously hes delighted. The idea the head coach has it in for the kids is ludicrus.
