no he’s not. At least, not exclusively like a lot of wingers. We’ve seen him drive touchline plenty of times.

Fred edge of the box in space just blindly hits it at a defender. His attacking is very basic for the most part.

We only played well for 30 minutes. A draw is what we deserve.

Lets see on Sunday if we can rectify this.

    IMO he can be both.

Good result I think, entertaining game. Lisandro and Sancho were standouts. We were denied the win by Meslier, but we showed great determination to get back in it.

Sancho was great when he came on but we need more leadership from the likes of Bruno and Varane. We're lost without Cas and Ericksen in midfield.

Given how we lined up, I'd have been surprised if Leeds didn't upstage us for a good period.

Not having Cas and Ericksen obviously an issue. If Bruno was willing/capable to play more as a CM, maybe he could offer something more today. I'm not sure how much more Varane can offer.

Realistically, 10hag's only other card to play was to add an extra man in midfield. Lindelof didn't impress me when he finally made his appearance, so maybe not the answer. Ideally, that player needs to be Bruno when we miss those two.

Too many chaotic players in this team. Fred and Garnacho primarily culpable, Rash & Bruno don’t have it in them to exert control through precision either.

Enter Sancho. Such an amazing performance. Being triple teamed and still threading the ball through spaces the width of a ball. This is why I keep wanting more players with technical quality and security in midfield & attack.

Garnacho’s a kid and all so it’s fine, I just hope he learns a lot from Sancho & co about getting his head up rather than keeping it down and getting tunnel vision. He’d have got two assists today but he wanted goals instead.

It just shows how thin we are in midfield. Two injuries and the whole thing threatens to come crashing down. What is positive though is the fight back. That would not have happened very often in recent seasons.

If the financing is there, I expect big changes to the roster for next season.

Watching Fred and Sabitzer playing in the midfield it was clear that neither of them knew how/where to be when Varane and Martinez had the ball in possession. They couldn't find those pockets of space that Casemiro and Eriksen find so often that allow us to play through the midfield. For 90 minutes I watched the two of them consistently get caught (or hide) behind the Leeds front three during their press. They just couldn't get on the ball in the critical moments. I said it when McFred was deployed in the dual holding role. Neither of them is a #6, and this team has no other true #6. Even if we get Casemiro back healthy and he can stay unsuspended this roster needs a quality backup, or even better, a successor in that holding midfield role. I'd love to see us splash big money for Declan Rice this summer, as much as I'd love to have Jude Bellingham. He's still the answer to long-term hole in this team. And he's got the ability to be the captain this club has cried out for in the Robson/Keano mold. We'll still need a replacement for Eriksen as well. But that might be easier, and cheaper.

No matter what my thoughts and opinions are, guys like Pellistri and Garnacho are loved by the Old Trafford crowd, and I thought they both had terrific moments yesterday. They are fearless and direct, and they get people on their feet. It's fun to see them play with that confidence, even when maybe they shouldn't. They are both clearly 2nd choice attackers/squad players, but I hope they continue to develop and get minutes either in Europe or the FA Cup. Right now they both look to be ahead of Elanga, and better footballers in general. Its good to see good young attackers coming through the ranks, like we saw with guys like Danny Welbeck, Frazier Campbell, and Joshua King. They may never be 1st choice, but at least we've got some exciting prospects.
