Two fixtures against Belgium (12th & 14th Feb) at SGP Malachi Hardy, Luca Williams-Barnett (Spurs) Alejandro Gomes (Southampton)
England played Belgium at U15 level in February for four consecutive years between 2017 & 2020. 2021 was impossible due to Covid. They were supposed to play them last (2022) February as well but the games were cancelled for whatever reason. Nice that these fixtures are back on the schedule. Of the Tottenham trio selected, I believe Malachi Hardy is a centre back and Shakil Nicolaou is an attacking player. Not seen Luca Williams-Barnett but Spurs took him from Luton apparently. Someone on Twitter claims Arsenal goalkeeper Owen Asemota was picked for the Belgian games. Thanks for the effort you and the likes of ADM, ATRS & Garibaldi put in to find out the chosen players, interesting to see which clubs are producing the talent. One player that I don't think got mentioned is goalkeeper Theo Houston who was signed by Aston Villa from Kidderminster Harriers last summer. ⚽ Year Nine pupil Theo has recently attended a four-day England Men’s Under 15 Selection Camp at St George’s Park, the home of the England National Football teams. Huge congratulations to Theo for his continued Sports achievements. 👏Full RGS Times story https://t.co/sEr1wHlS9T pic.twitter.com/yZnhP4f07m— RGS Worcester (@RGSWorcester) January 23, 2023 Middlesbrough goalkeeper Oliver Lloyd attended a camp at SGP in May. Played for Wales a few months later. West Brom wonderkid Amihere Idrissa Dauda to make international debut for ITALY in huge blow to England https://t.co/Rjvor4zqv5— The Sun Football ⚽ (@TheSunFootball) January 21, 2023 The only player in their U15 squad playing outside Italy. Given he wasn't born in England there'd have probably been eligibility problems (Fabio Carvalho, Joel Ndala etc) in a few years when the competitive fixtures started anyway. Oh you're right, I remember him replacing Wayne Rooney. John Stones is a better example. He has a brother at Manchester United. And another brother at Manchester City apparently! I assumed that April tournament would be the Torneo Delle Nazioni again. Instead it seems they're travelling to Spain to play the hosts, Japan & Brazil.
Harrison Miles (Southampton) Amir Ibragimov & Bendito Mantato (Man United) Joe Bradshaw (Liverpool) Kaden Braithwaite (Man City) 7-3 win vs Wolves. Gomes x2, Bradshaw, Barnett among the scorers
