Everyone else is a tight ass, tight wad, moo shit, grammar nazi so I might as well join the heard when the opportunity presents itself.
Niko looks a bit less mid-teen this year, a little bulked up, and starting to sport something like a Cade-ian mullet.
A 'Cade-ian' luke mullet... You mean a mullet like every preppy male is supporting these days? Dont you keep up with pop culture, father time.
The Earthquakes’ first opponent at Coachella tomorrow will be D.C. United. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
We really only made one big change this offseason. But it's the biggest, most expensive, we've ever made. Hopefully, Gruezo makes everybody better, especially Yuell and Monteiro. Our season is riding on Gruezo's back.
I think if you asked any of us how many roster holes we had at the end of last season, we'd all have said more than one.
Wondering why the #LAGalaxy aren't streaming Coachella Valley Invitational matches? They aren't allowed to. Streaming Goalchella is prohibited per the terms of the AppleTV deal. #MLS pic.twitter.com/Exa34ey0rn— Mike Gray (@MikeGrayAFC) February 8, 2023 GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Well I'm wondering why Apple isn't streaming the games. I've paid my $80 let me see some pre-season games! I'd be happy with low production values in pre-season. Just shoot the whole thing with an iPhone and you don't even need any play-by-play or anything. However I can guess "low production value" is not how they want to introduce this new service to us. I'm sure the opening weekend will have the highest production values they can do and I'm sure not everything will even be perfect by then. The fact is they will be judged on first impressions and so pre-season is not how they want us to get the first impression. Hopefully next year they will stream some pre-season games though.
Yes, but we've made several smaller changes at the end of last year, + Daniel this year. Nearly half of the starting lineup this year will be new relative to a typical starting lineup last year. I was hoping for one "big" attacking signing (in addition to d-mid). But given that it's hard to even figure out where he'd play (Jebo's spot?, Espinoza's spot?, Cade / Benji's spot?) I think you can make an argument that it was not super necessary and it could stunt the development of Cade and Benji. Still, with injuries and everything you need to keep pressing to get better, and the league will also continue to get better. I also expect Niko to get non-trivial minutes this year and to help our attack, as he is more attack-minded than Monteiro or Yueill.
Its a helluva a lot different seeing it with eyes then thinking about it. You don't realize the lack of change this club has made for the better part of the past 10 years. Change come so slow, in fact I feel like we've gotten rid of or lost more then we've added.
