You guys just have no patience. The issue with Florentino isn't going big on young talent. It's the fact he doesn't really like to spend unless it's one of his obsessions. If it isn't it must be a hell if a deal strongly in our favor. We would be fine if he would even use loan options but he doesn't apparently like them and our manager doesn't like installing Castilla players in certain spots to grow them or develop a usage or role for later.
I don't put emphasis on the poor results in the last month. Overall, Perez did well with his obessions.
Hazard is one of his obsessions. The reality is no one is perfect. I didn't say I would trade the man (or even Ancelotti). However we have to call a spade a spade here. This is the reality. Whenever it's a player Florentino has an obsession over all of a sudden price isn't an issue. Wages aren't an issue. The only roadblock is the specific player's desire. Whenever it's a player the manager wants or just fans it is not about budget and fiscal responsibility. It is why I have repeatedly stated we aren't frugal. How can we be when we would spend €200M on one player before wages?? Yet we will all act like Mariano's €5M wages is such a detriment we can't surpass. I am all for not building a team of Mariano's... that would bankrupt us. However having Mariano and Hazard (Florentino has refused to push this waste of space out) shouldn't impede us from at least sourcing a loan option.
To be honest i have no idea who Flo is/was obsessed about recruiting other than Benz who comes with a verifiable story as to how Flo went to see him to get him, in his second stint all the others could be players he wanted or players recommended to him so i personally can't say whether he has been successful or not with "obsessions". IMO we have moved when quality has become available.Rafa, Gareth, Toni,Tchou, Rudiger, David, Tbo, have taken in young talent with Vin, Eder, Camma and Rodry, brought back talent like Case and Fede, we have also i believe made attempts to bring in players of the calibre of Kylian and i believe also that we are trying for Jude, i don't believe we worked that hard on Erling due to the fact that we were trying to recruit Kylian at the time, Eden has been a bust but i'd agree the management team has done relatively well with players, we won't always get it right but it seems to me from our results that we've got more right than wrong, we have always been there or thereabouts for years now, not languishing down the table or out of the CL in the second round, the team is coming off a double, the first in many years, a triple CL win and are still in with a chance to win every comp we are in right now, We won't get every player we are after and i'm pretty sure we'll see some departures and one or two arrivals in the summer, winter has never been our thing, don't know if they have been "obsessions" or not but i think the management team has done pretty well all things considered, i too would like a reinforcement here or there, and to see the backs of Eden, Mariano, Odri, these players are no help to us at all, and if Marco left, so be it, not a fan, but unless the contract is up i'm not sure we can just force these players out unless they are willing to go elsewhere to play In the end no one is perfect or above criticism but i think at this time i'd give us a thumbs up rather than a thumbs down with regards to transfers

Hasn't scored in 10 games and was crying on the bench after being substituted 60 minutes into his team's 2-0 win against RB Bragantino in Serie A this week. Would be good if we could arrange for some of the Brazilian players, or maybe even Ronaldo, to fly over and give him a bit of a confidence boost.
I saw most of Palmeiras games this season. He play as a 9 and it seems that Palmeiras players doesn’t create for him a chances. Most of their games was not so good with him not so much involved in the game at all. He just 16. The way of playing of his team does not contribute to him at all.
Does not bode well if we’re pinning our hopes for him to come in two years and expect him to deliver immediately.
Same reality as any other player his age, no guarantees, some have what it takes and make it, some don't, like all 16 year olds Endrick at this point is not and never was, despite all written about him, a sure thing, but he has time, he's our player so i hope he turns out to be all that is speculated, all the better for us obviously, we'll see.
He doesn't need a boost and he doesn't need legends to pamper him or his ego He needs hard reality which I'm glad he has been getting. It's hard for him because he is seen as a star and his team doesn't exactly play for him. He needs to work harder, find ways to affect the match and develop.
I don't think his current stats can inform too much whether he'd be able of producing from day one at Madrid. His profile is that of a finisher and not a complete forward who can create and carry his side offensively. So if we have the right setup and service by the time he's here, he should be able to score somewhat regularly. The only issue is that he might experience a crisis of confidence, which could interfere with his progression. Hopefully he remains unfazed.
He has just 16 years.I hope that in the transfer there is a clause which obligates palmeiras to play him in first team so that he doesnt drops on bench.
He's a sixteen year old. I would rather he struggle, work harder and develop character than he have it easy, coasting now and developing bad habits. If you followed Rodrygo and Vinicius (I actually did) you would see they had their struggles and slowly got some footing. Even with that it wasn't like either was scoring a goal a game. They just flashed their ability and at some point gave a serious taste of what their future will be.
I think the scary part is that he begins to think he must score instead of remembering he is developing. A lot of pressure for such a young man.
Vini was also struggling in his first season as starter vs Brazilian teams. Also had some bad luck with hitting the woodwork a few times right from his debut game. Vini in his 2nd season at 17 was a totally different player with high confidence. Rodrygo wasn't even playing against senior teams at this age. And after that hattrick game that got him signed for RM, he had several quiet games that season. Endrick's best game in recent months was against Libertadores champions Flamengo. He won a penalty and was involved in another goal in 4-3 win. Fluminense has struggled to create anything from midfield except that game in 5-6 matches I saw. Their creativity is so bad that couple of half chances Benzema got vs Atlético will be considered golden for Endrick because he's been starving for service that much. I heard they lost some creative players and it's evident because the team Endrick played in the last few games of their championship season was way more fluid in attack. Current season team looks disjointed and it's only State Championship yet. National League starts after few months.
This is a kid, his life will have ups and downs. He could score 200 goals and suddenly drop out of the sport in 2 years. These transfers are nothing but a gamble.
Most transfers are gambles unless you are getting already proven world class player with right mentality (unlike Hazard). Still, transfer fees for these Brazilian prodigies is relatively low risk compared to the market today. Said that when we paid 45 ME for Vini when PL market was getting inflated with 28 year old Sigurosson costing Everton 50 ME then. Now even more so with the likes of Chelsea throwing away 700 M in 6 months for 0 world class players in return.
