Parking has gotten outrageous. For the U.S. vs. Colombia game they charged $30 to park on the far lots on the other side of the University that includes a lengthy walk to the stadium.
I guess one outcome of the supporters group meeting with Vanney was he relented and agreed to play a 4-4-2 with Jovelic and Chicharito up top together #LAGalaxy starting XIBond, Coulilbaly, Neal, Caceres, Edwards, Aguirre, Brugman, Delgado, Puig, Joveljic, Chicharito— Damian Calhoun (@DamianCalhoun) February 5, 2023

Are there any unofficial lots in the area these days? What happens if you park at the Ikea lot? Any way they can find out?
The Apple days are off to a bad start! In the good ol' days Spotsnet would have covered this game for sure... and if not it would at least be on the site. Ugh.
$25-30 is cheap for parking. Check out what the morons at the place that used to be the Banc pay. Also, check out Sofi parking prices. EEEk.

A 22 year-old defensive midfielder who played with Toronto FC and Toronto FC II the last several years. Has a couple of Canadian Nat'l team caps and is considered a rising star for them (or at least was before he was out injured for 5 months last year). 6'5", so very different build from our other defensive midfielders. Was also on trial with Inter Miami earlier this month, so he apparently used his Toronto connections with Vanney to get a trial here when it didn't work out in Miami. He came on for Puig while Saldana came on for Brugman, so maybe they are trying out Okello higher up the field.

“Soccer newsletter: The Galaxy, once the model franchise for MLS, have suddenly become a joke” Baxter today Kinda what people here have been saying, just rare for him to be so blunt. https://www.latimes.com/sports/soccer/newsletter/2023-02-07/galaxy-lafc-mls-soccer
The media needs to be more honest and blunt when the subject matter calls for it. The fan podcasts and people like that aren't gonna tell it like it is in fear of losing access to the team. This franchise is a mess and it's not something new while they re-build or systems gelm or a short bad spell. We are now essentially in the middle of another re-build. Vanney's second go-around with all the bad player acquisitions that had to be jettisoned and now we have to hope one or two serious game changers get signed up along with all these old vets and depth guys. As a matter of fact, Baxter went easy on Vanney as far as his system of play until Puig came in, his in-match team management and the fiasco that was the huge Kevin Cabral contract and utter on-field failure for two long years and we'll be on the hook for, for years to come. Good job on Baxter's part. I approve this message.
One team exudes success and confidence; it would rather go big than go home. The other seems tentative and uncertain. Where once the Galaxy oozed arrogance now, like the Wizard of Oz, the team prefers to work behind a curtain, asking its fans for support while avoiding accountability. When LAFC re-signed its co-presidents, Larry Freedman and John Thorrington, to multi-year extensions last month, the team sent a news release. After the contract of Galaxy president Chris Klein expired in December, the team and AEG, the Galaxy’s parent company, refused to address Klein’s status for more than six weeks before sending a two-sentence, late-night email confirming his return.
Good for Baxter for telling it like it is. We need every bit of pressure possible on the organization to clean up its act. I mean the LA Times is no BigSoccer, but every little bit helps!
So what is it with Apple? Is it a matter that they dont want to produce the pre-season stuff and are expecting the FO to do it. It seems like such a wasted opportunity even if they just doing for self-serving reasons both for Apple and the FO now that the fandom is up in arms and now that the local paper is also jumping into the fray to point out the ineptness of the FO to say hey listen let's stream all this pre-season stuff to get everybody focused on the team guys. We'll pay for production, all Apple has to do is show the stuff. Especially, the SGs. They have to be fuming that nobody got back to them and nobody can watch the team except if you go pay for parking, the junk food, the beer and did I mention, the parking. Ridiculous.
