Always said that 00 CF age group (at this point seems like all even age groups for CFs going as far back as 96), really does have a LOT of interesting/promising CFs but main issue with this lot is how injury prone they are as players.

at this point Maurice Malone is only 00 CFs who has never had any major injury issues. Prior to this season Burkardt was another.....shame too for Burkardt going from double digits last season in 1BL to constantly injured this season.

and CF one can never predict dev either. As we've seen with so many in past seasons. Fullkrug was always injured in past and look at him now.

in any case over past 2 decades, German CFs do better for Senior NT when they AREN'T young players but more mid-20s-onwards. Its why whole young fixation is pointless for us.

obvious why though. When they are too young they lack the experience, finishing, maturity, consistancy to play well for Germany Senior NT.

its also why so many 2BL CFs are doing well in 1BL as they do have experience, finishing, maturity, consistency that they aquired from years in 2BL.

04 W Gruda made his 2nd 1BL cap today as 89th min sub. So played 7 mins total with injury time.

also called it in CF thread that Bochum went after Broschinski because he's basically the next Tigges in whole 3rd Liga Dortmund II jumping to 1BL. Likely to have been seen as having similar potential for the jump. Curious to see if Akono and Njinmah (on loan) will be next for such a jump also at Dortmund II. Or a Breunig-Lakenmacher too. I'm all for players who go to 3rd Liga to skip 2BL but still on rare side of things.

    1BL
-02 CF Scherhant played his 5th 1BL cap today as 14 min sub in 3-0 L for Hertha
-05 M Bischof played his 3rd XI for Hoffenheim but that club is such in dire state, especially D wise

    2BL
-back to back XIs for 04 CB Gechter (on Winter loan) and this time 2-0 W. Admit if Hertha go down to 2BL would like to see him bail to another 1BL club!!!:whistling::whistling::whistling:
-03 LB/W Gunther (on loan) played his 1st match since early November as he got injured. With way Jahn are playing he might be able to rebreakthrough XI.
-yeah....03 GK Urbig and 02 GK Schreiber could do absoultely nothing on goals conceded. The Urbig conceded goals 100% highlight how bad Jahn's D is.

    Championship
-01 W Khadra (on loan) drew PK which was scored in 3-3 D.

    3rd Liga
-Glad to see Dortmund II winning.although still in relegation battle but outside relegation battle. 01 W Pohlmann with assist for opening goal and then 00 CF Njinmah (on loan from 1BL) scored his 4th of season and winning goal assist from 00 CF Akono. Back to back XI for 02 CF Otuali too. 03 M Lutke-Frie finally made the squad would assume was injured but still waiting on pro debut.
-03 M Keidel made his 3rd Liga/XI/pro debut for Ingolstadt today and 03 RB Udogu played his 2nd pro cap.
-02 CF Woltemade (on loan from 1BL) continues his run in 3rd Liga. Scoring his 4th of season in 4-0 W. With his 6 assists that's now 10th productivity and Elversberg continue in 1st place.
-03 W Bobzien (on loan from 1BL) made his debut for Elversberg as a sub and assisted the 4th goal.
-02 CF Borkowski (on loan from 1BL) picked up assist in 7-1 W.

    RL
-04 W/CF Mengot who moved to HSV from Dortmund II. Already with RL apperence and had assist in 3-2 W for HSV II
-03 CB Lelle who moved to Kiel II from Schalke II. Played XI and scored in 2-1 W for Kiel II. Between him and Kleine-Bekel, Kiel has some interesting CBs.

    U19
-I'm not bothering with U19 outside to say that 04 AM Paula who is 100% a Stuttgart 1st prospect and who was out from Summer to January today scored in 2-2 vs Hoff U19 on his comeback from injury game.

Last week 03 CF Nischalke made his 2BL/pro debut and today he makes his 1st ever XI!!!

    so far
Scherhant, Kastanaras, Beier, Woltemade, Shuranov, Borkowski, Nischalke are the 02-03 CFs who have made XI debuts in 1BL-2BL.From poached add Matanovic too.

even if Woltemade and Borkowski are on 3rd Liga loan its very likely given their form they will end up in 1BL-2BL/1st Abroad come Summer. Fritz always says Woltemade to be back in 1BL in Summer. Borkowski won't make it at Leipzig but 2BL-1st Abroad being next is likely assuming no 1BL club goes after him.

hope Asllani is next up for XI debut.

this is about XI debuts and NOT pro debuts. List is bigger if you also add pro debuts.

but to really make it, one has to breakthrough XI.

what's impressive about Nischalke making it that
-he had attitude/dumped at both Union and Magdeburg and look at him now. Shows issue with a LOT of 1BL clubs. Kids have issues and club solution is goodbye and nice life. Adeyemi was dumped out of Bayern LMAO.

instead of having clubs trying to help the kids on straight path they just wash their hands.

-FCN last season in U19 were propping up the poached by Croatia Vonic (cringe goes May 2022 Germany and then Sept 2022 Croatia) who excelled last season in U19 and even this season in RL

now its Nischalke who is prefered. I'm glad too better to see ones who isn't poached vs one that is.

its easy to see why though he has full package for a CF including height, technique etc.

I've only watched Nischalke once which was vs Bayern II and instantly one can see his potential for real pros. Its always interesting to guess pro potential based on only 1 match. I think so far, I saw pro potential for 3-4 players based on only 1 match. I'm talking about players that nobody was hyping and were completly open in terms of status.

    On 00 CF Broshinski
Joker Moritz Broschinski, who switched from Dortmund II to Castroper Straße in January, netted on his Bundesliga debut. "I'm glad that I was able to help the team in the end. It was an indescribably nice feeling to score a goal in front of the east curve," the debutant is quoted as saying in a club statement.

    LOL
Trainer Claus-Dieter Wollitz from Energie Cottbus recently said about Moritz Broschinski at an event on the occasion of the club's 57th birthday: "Due to the long injury break, it was surprising for me in the current situation that he was now allowed to switch to a Bundesliga team. On the other hand: He is very fast. He's very carefree, which isn't bad for a footballer. And he can play several positions.”

    Serie A
-02 AM Samardzic is seen by Il Gazzettino as the only bright spot of Udinese. And is starting to be seen

Lazar Samardzic is one of the revelations of this championship: the German is a candidate as technical and charismatic leader of Udinese

Today's edition of Il Messaggero writes: "We are looking for new leaders: Samardzic is a candidate to lead the group". And that's right, because the Juventus midfielder not only scores and lets others score, but at the same time guides his teammates and always knows what the right thing to do is.

    Danish 1st
-00 GK Mantl (on Winter loan) continues to play XIs in friendlies. Saved a PK in a 2-1 L. Seems bound for #1.

if Mantl is #1 would mean
Mantl, Fruchtl, Schreiber and Urbig are #1s in 2BL-1st Abroad and then Ramaj, Olschowsky and Atubolu all 3 have 2 XIs for 1BL clubs.

    Swiss 1st
-01 W Dajaku (on Winter loan) had assist in his 1st XI in 2-0 W

    Belgian 1st
-3 back to back XIs for 02 M Reitz (on Winter loan). I really hope he finally gets chances at Gladbach next season. Sheesh how excessive Gladbach makes it for any to breakthrough their club. And issue with Gladbach they only loan out players who are officially part of 1st team.

    2BL
Interesting match of Furth vs FCN, 1-0 W for Furth.

FCN XI=Castrop (on loan), Flick (on loan), Nischalke (XI debut)
    Subs=Fofana
    Unused=Shuranov

Furth XI=John (on loan), Asta, Raschl, Sieb
Subs=Petkov (Winter loan, 20 min debut)
    Unused=Raebiger, Dietz

you watch this match and this is where grit is build up. Its not at clubs like Bayern or DFB, LMAO.

Nischalke played 70 min, had an assist to goal ruled offside. Whenever he had the ball he looked pretty good, very technical and physical and always went for headers too. One of his 1st actions was dribbling past 2 and getting corner from all that. Was funny seeing a Furth CB just crashing into him in a situation that Nischalke really should have scored. Issue is that FCN struggled to get near the Furth goal so CF basically won't get much service.

John and Asta looked pretty good, very agressive constantly running, John as a M/W being played at LB has a good technique. Have to laugh at how Asta sets up Sieb who shoots straight at GK, then Asta himself misshots a John dribbling past a player effortlessly who then crossed it to him, LOL. Sieb really should have scored 1-2 goals today. One of those players who is rarely kept quiet but needs to do better in finishing. Feels like he's close to scoring in almost every game. Almost scored an overhead kick (he's already scored 1 this season). Did well with speed, dribbling, movement, going at it solo.

I hope more Furth climbs in table the more we'll see Raebiger integration.

for me, DFB/Flick really need to call up Samardzic in March.
    Really should be

    -March=Senior NT
    -June=U21 Euro
    -Fall=back to Senior NT

its stupid to wait, just give him message that you are rated and we are planning with you. 0 good reasons to lose him.

he himself twice during Fall said that he wants to play U21 Euro in Summer.
    And for U21 he's a 100% XI too.

06 CB Osei signs what sounds like pro contract pre-cursor

    Concord ties Derek Boakye Osei
The talented centre-back will continue to wear the eagle on his chest for years to come.

With Derek Boakye Osei, another talent from the youth team has made a long-term commitment to Eintracht Frankfurt. The defensive specialist moved from FFV Sportfreunde 04 to Riederwald in the summer of 2018 at the age of eleven. In the past 2021/22 season, as an U16 player, he was already one of the regular U17 players in the B-Junior Bundesliga South/Southwest. In the current season, nine more appearances have been made in the top U17 division.

With convincing performances in the B-Juniors, Derek Boakye Osei was promoted to the U19s before the winter break, for which he will be used in the rest of the season. The 16-year-old was also one of the top performers in the UEFA Youth League. The central defender was used in each of the six group games, including the full distance in the 3-2 away win at Tottenham Hotspur. Derek Boakye Osei made his debut for Spain's U17 national team, who have now made three appearances, last October in a 2-0 win over Hungary.

Alexander Richter, head of the youth academy, says: “Derek is a promising defensive talent in which we see great potential. He is robust, fast and exudes incredible security on the ball. In the past, Derek was used several times by older teams, which took him a few steps forward in his development. In the coming years we would like to carefully introduce him to men's football. We are very happy that he wants to continue his journey in the Eintracht jersey.”

still find it funny that Spain basically calling up 3 German dev players in 2006 age group in Osei, Awussi and Konig. They rarely called up such players in past too. So far none of 3 are provisional cap tied either

    Frankfurt Youth Looking like
    01-Ramaj, Alidou
    02-Knauff
    03-Matanovic (2BL loan)
    04-Wenig, Loune
    05-Baum
    06-Osei, Awussi, Alaoui

Ones who have trained/friendlies here and there
    02-Otto
    03-Horz, Ghotra, Schroder, Gebuhr, Schafer
    04-Maqkaj
    05-Mladenovic
    06-Fenyo

I think none of 02-03s in 2nd list will get real chances.

I'm curious to see what plan for some 00-01s really is from 1BL clubs????
-GK=Unbehaun (3rd GK at Dortmund), Klein (got screwed over by Augsburg), Schock (3rd GK at Stuttgart), Heekeren (Schalke #3)

-RB=Treu (added to Freiburg Europe Squad), Kurt (used to be 1st prospect)

-CB=Aidonis (seen as back up at Stuttgart, made bench this season), Bazzoli (seen as back up at Stuttgart, made bench last season), Schell (seen as back up at Schalke, made bench this season), Schroder (seen as back up at Bremen), Gaal (seen as back up at Gladbach), Schneider (used to be Koln 1st prospect)

-LB=J.Muller (made the bench for Schalke this season)

-M=Berger (Today making pro bench debut has been with 1st training for awhile and impressed a lot in training/friendlies), Engelhardt (on loan from Bremen to Freiburg II but always training with Freiburg 1st and was included in Freiburg Europe Squad too), Strauch (always on bench at Koln and never debuts), Azhil (still with Bayer 1st who have no II), Lockl (used to be 1st prospect at Gladbach), Lofolomo (used to be 1st prospect at Gladbach), Michel (has trained with Dortmund 1st in camps)

-AM/W=Maciejewski (Still with Union 1st who have no II), Aksakal (Signed Winter Pro contract with Hertha), Mamutovic (involved in Mainz Winter Camp), Wolf (used to be 1st prospect at Stuttgart), Pohlmann (has gotten involved in Dortmund 1st camps)

-CF=Breunig (back from long term injury and involved in Freiburg Winter Camp), Njinmah (made his 1BL debut with Dortmund 1st this season and has done camps too)

some seem to be making real progress in recent times while others just wasting their time.

Maciejewski is an example of how disgusting Union Berlin is with own players. They constantly keep him around as you need homegrown players for Europe. Clubs like Union, Bayer etc always do this too. What garbage clubs who don't care about their own players.

Pohlmann is a weird case he looks good with Dortmund 1st but struggles to be productive in 3rd Liga. Although currently Dortmund II's top assister.

when you look at Lofolomo and Lockl and then compare them to Niehues who was smart enough to bail then move to 3rd Liga play for a club that got promoted to 2BL after 1 season and now his 1st 2BL season and he's regular XI. Shows how not very smart a lot of players are. Niehues is now 1 step away from 1BL while Lofolomo and Lockl are still in 4th division and 0 progress. Problem with Gladbach is that only players with pro contract and who REGULARLY train with 1st team actually go on loan. They don't loan out players who spend almost of their time in RL. Its why Gladbach is a bad club for youth. Play RL 1-2 years then bail. Not this nonesense of 3-4 years in RL.....

Schalke is interesting to see if club goes down to 2BL, door could open. Stuttgart same if they go down. As long as Stuttgart is in 1BL they will go for whole dev/sell so players are also wasting their time.

I'm not sure why Aksakal got pro contract when so many more promising in U19 AM/W......Same with Mamutovic too.

Strauch and Schneider are just wasting their time too. Was clear 100% since Summer that they won't get chances so why stick around???

Issue with a lot is clubs have 0 planning or if you want the planning is X or Y=back up options and nothing more. Imagine you force players to stick around or extend with them just for sake of having back up options to mass injuries.....cringe. That's what happened to Schroder extended just for back up role. Back up role=outside matchday squad tbc.So while clubs block you from ever entering matchday squad with transfers you should be happy with training.....at ages of 21-23 players should be playing not RL. RL is good for younger ages and limited times and good place for regression too.

something I mentioned in past, huge chunk of 02-03 Ms making 1BL EARLY progress are DMs

-02 DM Breitahupt, 2BL XI, gonna be 1BL 100% in Summer
-02 DM Martel, brokethrough Koln XI
-02 CM Reitz, on Belgian 1st Winter loan from 1BL where he is XI
-03 DM Wagner knocking on door at Freiburg, already 3 caps and 1 XI too
-03 DM Salifou cameback from long term injury and today made his 1BL/pro debut

    LOL

if other 02-03 could jump to 1BL, you have likes of 03 M Castrop (2BL XI loan, Koln have said very good chance will comeback in Summer), 03 M Rhein (Austrian 1st XI loan), 02 M Rohl (since post Winter break has been a lot with Freiburg 1st), 03 M Shabani (has pro contract at Mainz and has made bench in past), 02 M Meyer (back from long long term injury prior to Winter Break and is Stuttgart 1st product although that club is relegation candidate so by time he gets pro chances. Chances are club is 2BL). And one notices this whole list is what CMs except Meyer, LOL.

and still a horde of 02-03s in 2BL-RL too. 03 is packed of Ms too.

DMs are important sure but you still need CMs too. I still think Rhein's dev is important as he gives you something others don't.

05 AM/W Wanner with his 2nd 1BL cap of season, 4th in all competition and 8th career cap. Although Bayern are 10 men, so unlikely to be able to do much.

he's annoying kid but don't want to lose him, so better if he gets called up to U21. At the min he's been a regular in matchday squads for Bayern 1st team since early November too. So there is that aspect of things.

-01 CB Thiaw plays 20 min in Milan Derby, his 5th cap of season, 2 XIs

    Polish 1st
-00 W Yeboah scores his 3rd of season in 2-0 W. With Cup he's scored 6 goals this season

Yeaboah is a weird one has technique, dribbling, speed but 0 productivity. He struggles to finish in general. That is ALWAYS issue with such players so focused on technique/dribbling that area of finishing is scrappy. Issue its impossible to pan out as a pro in attacking positions without finishing, its part of the job description.

Now time for DFB comedy, 00 W Jastrzembski (poached by Poland ex DFB YNT) is in same club as Yeboah but a bencher. Back in U19 DFB, Jastrzembski was the XI and Yeboah was the sub, LMAO. Seriously dfb are just stupid, Jastrzembski is a speed and space merchant he works better vs tired legs than from XI.

didn't watch Milan derby but Thiaw seems to be getting a lot of praise and a lot of calls for him to be XI.

Thiaw could become our 2nd Serie A XI player after Samardzic.

a full breakthrough into Milan would also open the Senior NT door.

its good to see 03 LB Herold go on Austrian 1st loan until Summer. Its about time he finally makes pro progress and no more RL crap. Always said that I want players like Herold, Bruckner to play 1BL-2BL-1st Abroad come Summer 2023 max so that they are options for 02-03 U21 cycle.

So far 02-03 LBs looking like and more are trying to breakthrough real pros
Calhanoglu (2BL loan from 1BL), John (2BL loan from 1BL, also M/W), Netz (1BL), Gunther (2BL loan from 1BL also W), Herold (Austrian 1st loan)

Just a shame that more didn't go on loan from Bayern. Only Brazzo Jr and Herold this Winter....its should give 03 LB Fust a lot more game time in II.

    Austrian 1st looking like
00-Boller (injured all season so far), Fruchtl, Kuhn, Martin (was linked with 1BL in WInter)
03-Herold (on loan), Rhein (on loan), Berg (yet to breakthrough), Oermann (on loan)

-Freiburg coach Streich confirms that 02 GK Atubolu will play his 3rd XI for the 1BL club!!! Its clear that once Flekken bails that Atubolu gonna be made #1 at Freiburg. Its good to see GKs like Fruchtl, Mantl, Atubolu, Schreiber, Urbig all make 1BL-2BL-1st Abroad progress!!! Not counting Olschowsky+Ramaj both getting 2 XIs in 1BL too.

Interview with 2BL Jahn sporting director Tobias Werner

Your first Jahn transfer was when Jonas Urbig was loaned from 1. FC Köln. Why did you work in the goalkeeper position?
Of course we analyzed the first half of the season and evaluated accordingly. In the end, we came to the conclusion that further impulses in the goalkeeping team would increase the competition and thus raise the overall level of performance. Furthermore, we didn't know exactly how quickly Dejan Stojanovic could come back from his injury. So we decided to bring someone else in.

What can Jonas bring to the team?
Jonas fits here very well as a person and is certainly one of the greatest German goalkeeper talents. Our idea was to increase competition. Because such a transfer does something with the other goalkeepers. You see: There's someone new coming, so I need to train even harder and pick up a point. We wanted to increase the quality while still making sure it fits among the goalkeepers in the team. Jonas fits in well, makes a good and, for his young age, already wide impression. That was a good decision as of now. Now we're curious to see how he does.

At the beginning you spoke of courage. Is it courageous to get a 19-year-old to score in the tight sporting constellation?

In the eyes of fans and the media, that may be the case. But ultimately it's about assessing the quality of the player. If we are convinced that a player will help us, then there is no such thing as young or old. Then there is only one question: Does he help us or does he not help us. We at Jonas answered that with a clear yes for us.
